The last years IPL debutant team, Sunrisers Hyderabad out up a really appreciable play in the season. This time with only two previous players, Indian batsman Shikhar Dhawan and the South African bowler Dale Steyn in the list, Sunrisers’ have gone all new. The team will be lead by the coach Thomas Masson

Moody who is looking forward to work on the flaws of the previous season. With the new players at hand however the coach has much more opportunity to win. There is still no information who will be the captain of the team.

In the 2014 IPL auctions, Sunrisers Hyderabad played a safe game and did not invest huge sums into any player acquisition. Highest bid was made for Australian batsman David Warner who was bought by the team for Rs. 5.50 crores.

Team made the investment of Rs. 4.75 crores and Rs. 4.25 crores to get Indian bowlers Amit Mishra and Bhuvneshwar Kumar in the team respectively. Among other important names bowler Ishant Sharma and all

Kings XI Punjab Squad

Kings_XI_Punjab.png

This season Kings XI Punjab will be battling on the ground in the 2014 IPL with total 24 players’ team. The Punjab team retained two of its player this time; uncapped player Manan Vohra and the South African batsman David Miller.

Kings XI Punjab was one of the last ranked teams in the last season’s IPL. With not much to boast of only the claim of fame for the team in the tournament is being the semi finalist in the 2008 IPL. Nevertheless it’s T20 and anything can happen at a glance. King XI will all the new line of players will want to mark a history this time.

Mitchell Johnson and Glenn Maxwell are the highest bids that the team invested in. The Australian all rounder Johnson was bought for Rs. 6.5 crores whiles other from the same team, Maxwell was acquired with a Rs. 6 crores investment.

An interesting acquisition by the team is that of previous Daredevils icon play Virender Sehwag. He went to the team for Rs. 3.20 crores which was not something expected for an icon player. On the other side team lost Yuvraj Singh who was the most expensive player auctioned this season at whopping Rs. 14crores going to Royal Challengers.

We can see a lot of shuffling in the IPL play this time with the teams changing players to a great extent.

Here is a close up of the 2014 IPL Kings XI Punjab team.

Anatomy of Kings XI Punjab Team

There is still no information on which player will be appointed as the captain of the team. It will be interesting to see if Sehwag is given a chance.

One of the most premier and richest franchisee in the Indian Premier League tournaments is the Mumbai Indians. With the retirement of legendary Sachin Tendulkar from the team there is a vacant spot for the team fans.

Does the BCCI give any reasoning behind still not allowing Pakistani's in the IPL? If it's because of the perception of match-fixing then well India does have a few too many blemishes of their own so should they ban all Indian players too? ;)

Because some of the worlds best T20 players are from Pakistan... Shahid Afridi, Umar Gul, Saeed Ajmal...
