IPL Game 56 - Kings Xi Punjab vs Rajasthan Royals at Mohali

Last game, the 56th of the tournament. This match sees Punbab host the Rajasthan side. Both teams have already made the finals and sit first and second at the moment. We could perhaps be looking at a preview to the Grand Final.

Rajasthan won the toss and decided to bowl first. Shane Watson is captaining the Royals today in the abscence of Shane Warne who is being rested.

Punjab are 0/36 at the moment in the 5th over. Shaun Marsh has done the bulk of the scoring with 24 from 17 balls.

Finally, a wicket for the Royals. Pathan gets the breakthrough and Hopes is caught in the deep after a sweep shot doesn't come off.

25 runs from Pankaj Singh's third over sees Marsh reach his century, and what a fine knock it has been, only took him 58 balls with 10 fours and 3 sixes.

1/176 from 17 overs, Punjab look set to reach 200 now.

Marsh is 103 from 59 and Yuvraj Singh 18 from only nine balls.

200 is up, didn't take long. Yuvraj went absolutely mental in the previous over, Tridevi had done a good job to only conceded one run from three balls but Yuvraj hit him for three consecutive sixes to finish the over. And now Marsh is getting in on the act, he hits a six off Munar Patel with Yuvraj doing the same a few balls later.

Punjab finish on 3/221, a massive total. Marsh was the mainstay of the innings and was out for 115 in the last over, falling to a catch in the deep off the bowling of Shane Watson. Yuvraj Singh was run out on the last ball of the innings for 49, his innings was only 16 balls long but he did some severe damage with the bat. Luke Pomersbach remained not out on one.

Huge total from Punjab, Marsh's innings was even applauded by Shane Warne who is the Royals captain. Warne is being rested today.

Going to be hard for Rajasthan to chase that but they've been in good form all tournament so let's see what happens.

Sreesanth bowls Mohammad Kaif for one. Not the start Rajasthan were after.
