Magic Raring To Go

Santiago Bernabeu, is home to some of the finest cricketers in the BCFCL. The lush stadium is symbolic of the talent that runs through the veins of the club which calls it home.

During the BCFCL break, this is where the Magic spent every day, on a training camp, pushing themselves to the limit to get the best out of themselves and to form the bond that really makes a team.

It was not so long ago that Mousey, Breeno, The Wizz, Tongs and Edge were the newbies of the Madrid Magic. It was not so long ago that these men were the babies of the team, with the old heads like Dirk Kuyt, Doggiesin08, Diablo, Boncer and Quinzate1 leading the team.

It was not so long ago that the Magic were in dire straights. Off field demeanours plagued the Magic camp. Until Dirk Kuyt did something about it. He recruited young men, and entrusted the faith in them that would allow them to become mature heads for the club.

That favour has been repaid back by these boys, as stated earlier, pushing themselves to the limit to reach their potential. Times have changed. Mousey, Breeno, The Wizz, Tongs, Edge and Peter2Lance are now leading the group, showing everyone the leadership qualities they posess. DY13, DontBowlThere and Friezy69 are the new guys to the team, they have been pushed by the new leadership group. They have been given a challenge, and whether or not they answer the challenge is up to them.

Breeno and Mousey left the Santiago Bernabeu for the first time in two weeks today, to talk to the media following the hype of the second round of One Dayers.

"We have trained long and hard for this day, the blood, sweat and tears all come down to this point, we decided that during the break, we will push ourselves to become better cricketers, and increase our chance at winning this trophy. Mousey is ripping the ball like never before, The Wizz has added 30km/h onto his already freakish pace, DY13 has showed he has what it takes to cut it with the big boys and Edge has been hitting them sweetly at training thats for sure. It's a great time to be at the Magic. This is what we play for, we play for these colours, this badge, this stadium, but most of all we play for eachother here at the Magic, and that's what will get us through"

Breeno said to the eagerly awaiting media and fans.

Mousey followed up with this statement: "We have gotten early to the match, and are setting the benchmark off the field and on the training tracks, now we have to set the benchmark on the field. I believe we can win this match, and with this whole damn thing".

That is what it comes down to, a squad of 14 cricketers playing for eachother, this is what the BCFCL is all about.
