Could we see a test bowling attack of

- Mitchell Johnsen
- Stu Clark
- Shane Tait
- Ben Hilfenhaus
- Dan Cullen

I seriously hope not. Why does Cullens name keep appearing? What has he done? MacGill will be the spinner for the next few years and rightly so. People talk about him being 35 but that won't effect anything. He's not a 35 like a Warne 35 and been playing for 15 years and basically cooked. Even after that Cullen Bailey would have to be next in line. Even young Aaron Heal would be in front of Cullen at this point. At least he's performing at domestic level. The other four I agree with. Johnson didn't take a wicket in the last ODI but bowled some beautiful cherries. Only difference was the other bowlers got the nicks and he didn't.

Look, Suzi, you think it is one way street with SS don't you? South should not be stirring so much ******** but Suzi you retaliate too easily and believe you know what's best for the site all the time with your constant belief that everyone does the wrong bar you. I've had enough of you two bickering so much as well, so calm it down please.

BTW, South, I was pretty impressed with Hilfy, bowls a good speed with good movement and pretty hard to play, may well be a selection for next year's tests especially against the Lankans on his home soil. Johnson is raw but he looks like quality, left arm quick who can move the ball and is different to the rest of the attack. Tait has been in good touch for South Australia (probably the only one ) and I doubt that the Indians would play him well if he bowled well due to their lack of experience with searing quick pace bowlers (although mind you, the damage they did to Brett Lee in India's last tour of Australia was rather disturbing.

I would prefer that he gets banned because he keeps on following me around and having a go at me all the time. So of course I will retailiate easily. The guy is a tosser. So just ban him

Suzi, this situation is not completely SS's fault. While SS is definitely stirring you up, you are under no obligation to reply to his posts. You reply to almost all of his jibes at you, something which does not help the situation at all.

What is best to do, is to ignore his posts and put him on ignore. You are constantly accusing SS of being in the wrong but you are partly in the wrong too by replying to his posts.

And this spat is getting to a point where it is just ridiculous now. It's not just on this board but on many other across the whole of BigCricket and I've had quite enough as have a few other mods on here too.

Both of you, sort out your differences, this is getting beyond a joke.

Re: mitchell johnson

Johnson = gun.

We have so much talent suddenly in the fast bowling stakes.

You can do it by getting rid of him.
I can keep on reporting his posts and ignoring him but it's still going to happen. Until you guys do something about it this won't work out.
I have had enough of SS following me around calling me a troll and pissing me right off all the time. Especially when he is the one and only idiot around the place.

Not going to happen at the moment. South has curbed his behaviour recently and will be staying on here.

South has been infracted a number of times for his actions, so he isn't going unpunished.

This is what I am telling you to do. Just ignore him and I am sure this will eventually go away.

Yes but putting the blame on South for 100% of the problem when you are replying to his posts and making the situation worse is not right either.

You're pointing the finger at SS and completely blaming him when in fact, you're replying to his posts and adding fuel to the fire so to speak.

I am asking you to ignore him or put him on ignore. Don't retaliate Suzi because you are making the whole situation worse when you fight back.

Check your PM's.

I have already got him on ignore but still he follows me around as though he is bored.
He and TR's constant trolling made me leave in the first place only to have to put up with SS's tripe all over again when I came back.

Re: mitchell johnson

Johnson deserves his spot and has worked really hard.

Has talent to burn and with his speed and movement is a dangerous weapon.

SS you are so wrong about this bloke it's not funny.

I agree with ya. I reckon that Mitch Johnson will replace Glenn McGrath after the world cup

Re: mitchell johnson

10-2-45-4.

Going to be the future of Australian cricket in a few years.

Re: mitchell johnson

Thread moved and bumped.

Well, what do we all think of Johnson now? Took 5 wickets today against India on what was supposed to be a batters paradise. And his wickets were none other than Yuvraj Singh, Robin Uthappa, MS Dhoni, Harbhajan Singh and Irfan Pathan.

10-0-26-5.

Now has nine wickets for the series in five matches at 19.44 runs per wicket and is the series leading wicket-taker. Also only conceding 4.60 runs per over on grounds which have been conducive for batting.

Johnson has gone from having a good series to a great one with his efforts today. He has been bowling very good lines and was given his just rewards with some excellent bowling. This will also go a fair way to seeing him included in the test team for the first test against Sri Lanka in November.

The bowling looks set to comprise Brett Lee, Stuart Clark and Stuart MacGill with the other spot likely to be filled by Johnson.

Ben Hilfenhaus hasn't been given a go yet in India and actually may be headed home to play for Tasmania in the four-day match against Queensland which starts on Friday. Shaun Tait is slowly recovering from injury and needs to get a few games for South Australia under his belt before even being considered by the Aussie selectors. Other than those two, there's no other real chances for the first test, Nathan Bracken is a one-day specialist and would be well down the pecking order in terms of getting a test spot.

Anyway, what are your thoughts on Mitch Johnson?

SS, I'd be very interested to hear your thoughts on this subject. ;) :D

Superstar. Nuff said.

Re: mitchell johnson

very very good bowler

always has been, always will be.

will sometimes go for runs, but will almost always trouble the batsman.

very very good bowler

Re: mitchell johnson

Has shown a fair bit in this series I must admit. However, some things just don't add up. How, after such appalling FC and ODD stats would he be in line for International selection in the first place. Still averages 28 (FC) and 30 (ODD) with the ball in domestic arena. It's confusing. Anyway good luck to him, I still wouldnt trust him on the big stage in test matches, but that remains to be seen.

My opinion still remains:
Tait > Hilfenhaus > Johnson,
but that has come a long way from last summer when it was:
Tait > Hilfenhaus >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> Johnson.
