Money Shield 2019/2020

bit biased toward BU dont u think blackhawk

Yeh well you know, gotta favour my teammates. But seriously;

Ross - 400 runs @ 40.
Cogan - 300 runs @ 40 and 20+ dismissals.
Barnett - 24 wickets @ 15, going at less than 2 an over and 250 runs @ 30.
Sanjeewa - 14 wickets @ 20 and 200 runs @ 50

I'd probably include Polius from Mill Park too to cap out the 11. Who would you pick?

BU have dominated, hence why they're on top. Multiple players performing week in week out

Lamont - Eltham
Sharman - Monty
Kemp - Stars
Ross - Bundoora United
Zerafa - Lower Plenty
+Cogan - Bundoora United
Sanjeewa - Bundoora United
Barnett - Bundoora United
J Hannan - Banyule
M Hannan - Banyule

Stuck for an all rounder, maybe a spinning all rounder, not sure. Thoughts?

Zerafa - 320 @ 32.00 ?
Plenty of blokes with better numbers than that - Amos, Manoilovski, Rukshitha, Wright, Taylor, Jenkin

Polius has to be a certainty doesn't he ?
2 x Tons and another 4 scores over 40 - Throw in 21 wickets @ 15.00

Mill Park - Williams 27 @ 17
Elth/Research - Sassella 23@ 15
Old Paradians - Ranasingha 369 @ 41 plus 12 poles

BU VS LALOR. Massive semi. I’ll go with Lalor, they’re very hard to knock off when at home! Real hostile environment (in a good way) when you play there!
Banuyle v Eltham.
Interesting match up. Elthams strength is batting, Banuyle is clearly a strong bowling line up. I’m tipping Banuyle to knock them off. Third time lucky hopefully

It was 12 months ago that a star all-rounder announced himself to the competition with his match winning performance in the semi-finals.

What heroics can we expect from him tomorrow?

And the big question, how does Eltham afford him?

I don't know what bu were trying to do today they showed no intent at all

Strike rates on both sides were not high with the ground being as slow as it was. It was the cluster of wickets lost in the middle order that hurt, the slow run rate was fine as long as you don't lose too many wickets. If we'd gotten to the 60th with wickets in hand needing the 100 runs, its a different story. Anyways, credit to the Stars, they played well.

Managed to pop in on the Saturday. Stars had it won then! Kempy and Alex is a huge combo!
However I feel Banyule after breaking their semi drought, will go all the way!
