Nashua Titans confirm coach for 2010/2011 season

I must admit this surprised me as the Eastern Titans board have confirmed Chris van Noordwyk will be head coach of the Titans after agreeing to a contract extension. His first season was a difficult one and continuity could be the main reason for this appointment.

In addition, the Franchise has announced the signings of Henry Davids, Cornelius “CJ” de Villiers, Jacobus Pienaar and Hardus Viljoen to the 2010/2011 squad. Highlighting these signings, Sinovich said: “Davids is a talented batsman who will bring added depth to our lineup. “CJ” de Villiers is a fast bowler who has established himself as one of the young bowling prospects in South Africa.”

Davids could be a valuable signing as his short format form has been good for the Nashua Cape Cobras. The CJ De Villiers signing is an interesting one as he was injured for a major part of the 2009/2010 season and was a valuable member of the unnamed Central Franchise.
