everett i wouldnt have had in there, his reputation precedes him. he is too inconsistent. keath was very hard done by though. also sam o'bryan from skevs-two tons, and a 70 odd not enough to earn a spot? that is dubious.

Interesting to see that a bloke who makes two hundreds doesnt make the team (O'Bryan - Skevs) over a Curtain who didnt make a hundred all season. Im not too sure Gotch and O'Sullivan were expected to make the team, not exactly dominating the competition. Parker who has been mentioned on this site to be captain, bit stiff on not making the team after taking 24 wickets so far and a few handy 30s in the middle order. Also Lloyd Everett emergency??? Very interesting the team.

Yeah Parker extremely rough to miss out. Especially with Gotch and O'Sullivan making the team, also not too sure about McMillan as captain, but i spose not that many other options in the team.

Curtain deserves his spot, he has been rewarded for two great seasons in a row. what are keath's stats for this season?

well done to those boys, pretty good team id say. good to see they picked clancey he dserved it and i reckon a couple of the xavier lads are slightly lucky - anyway there will always be contreversey.

so the batting order will be:?
1.Bett (vc)
2.Ryan
3.Graham
4.Mcmillan (c)
5.Loohrum (wk)
6. O'sullivan (you could swap him and ryan possibly)
7. Gotch
8.Curtain
9. Clancey
10.Voyage
11. Hannan

superb batting order if you have curtain at 8 and coleman dnb

my order would be:

1. Bett (vc)
2. Ryan
3. Graham
4. Curtain
5. Loorham (wk)
6. McMillian (c)
7. O Sullivan
8. Gotch
9. Coleman
10. Clancey
11. Hannan

voyage dnb

very very deep batting order, with no tail, which ever way it is there sould be plenty of runs and a win for the APS next week

Coleman abit stiff to miss out from teamorale491's team
Also, I find it difficult to swallow Parker didnt make the Official APS team with all his peers agreeing he should be skipper

o'bryan extremley stiff, selectors forgot he was injured for the scotch game
he has made 2 tons and 80 and 3 30's extremley stiff.
wat about stafford and conway. stafford's pace is devistating and conway is magic behind the stumps and can also throw the willow. ring and spence also deserve emergencies

obryan defs stiff. only batsmen that kept skevs from making 50 every week the rest of their batting order was so ordinary. to say staffords pace is devastating is ridiculous, even though a v good bowler. ring didnt play against us and spence is a spud, joe loorham was in an aus 17s side 2 years ago as a gloveman played double bottom age 19s last year and bottom age 19s this year, but no doubt conway is better.... moron. on another note. parker without doubt extremely stiff, definately good enough but unfortunately he had bett and graham in the way who proabably got over the line because of runs, but parkes has been the best stand alone spinner of the competition this year. also good to see clancey got a gig this year after the farce last year that saw him take 32 wickets and not get picked, well done mate

Re: Official APS Side HOT off the Press , some surprises!!

Hahaha some of you people are kidding yourselves.

Curtain at 8? turn it up, he is the best bat in the team besides Loorham! Who is the best bat in the comp.

O"Bryan good? HAHA the bloke may have made 2 tons, but they mean nothing in the scheme of things, in a useless side, batting at 3. He by no means should have been considered in my opinion.

And Conway? the only good thing he does is yells at the top of his voice. even when the ball whistles through to the keeper. He is a shocka of a keeper, and a terrible bloke. Clancey well deserved though, a gutsy skipper.

the team batting order:

Ryan
Bettsy
Loorham
Curto
Graham
McMillan
O Sullivan
Gotch
Coleman
Hannan
Clancey

12th- Voyage

Xavier 2 bottom agers. great effort

he is magic for the opposition because of the number of byes he lets through and, throws the willow discribes his batting very well, he throws his bat at the ball and rarely connects and when he does it usually comes off the edge and heads somewhere in the square leg / midwicket region

Voyage....unlucky to be 12th.....with a batting average of 55 this year

Re: Official APS Side HOT off the Press , some surprises!!

Nick Travers must have been a bit stiff, averaging about 10 with the bat and doesnt bowl. BGS would have to be spewing about there specialist lower-order batsmen not making the side, only 3-4 ducks this year from what i've heard.
Our game against scotch few weeks ago got washed out, who is this mcmillan guy, how has he gone this year.

Dayyumm sulli, you lookin fine;)

conway is the worst wicketkeeper in the aps and loves to shout when he leaves the ball

ring and spence....have not made runs and won't next year either

st. kevin's is and always will be a 'lower-middle of the range' cricket school

couldnt agree more. could bat at 7 in any APS side and would bat in the top 5 for a couple of them

your kidding yourself batting clance at 11. should EASILY bat ahead of hannan and coleman. made some of the gutsiest innings this year. a couple of not outs against xavier to aviod outright, 40odd against scotch, 30odd against MGS. Not to mention one of the greatest 6's down the ground against xavier. so have another think about your order. clancey should be batting at least 9.

ALSO no clue about conway. some of the quickest glove work you will ever see. keeping up to clancey on occasions. And to say sammy doesnt deserve a spot, doesnt matter what team you play in, a ton is a ton. how many tons did curtain make this year. none. he played agaist brighton and he played against caulfield so explain how sam was able to ton up and he wasnt. pathetic judgment on a great batsman.

have you followed st kevins at all this year. spence has made 20odd in first and only 2 games. so fairly harsh on him. you have no clue what your talking about. st kevins have probably one of the best bowling attacks in the APS. bowling scotch out for 75ish, having MGS 6 or 7/80, bowling wesley for 100. just struggled a bit with the bat this year.
