how do you go from making 500, to being 7 for 100?
Very easily after spending a couple of days in the field and needing some quick runs, alot different to a sensational 1st day pitch

Well, anything could happen did end up happening. Victoria were bowled out for 151, Shane Harwood's late knock of 31 adding some respecibility to the total and pushed the lead to 267. Harwood's knock was also top score, batting at number ten in the order.

Dan Cullen took three wickets for SA with Tait, O'Brien and Cleary getting two each.

South Australia started poorly with Tom Plant out for a duck in the second over of the innings. Michael Klinger followed and then Borgas and Ferguson departed within five runs of each other to leave the Redbacks reeling at 4/90. The Vics struck further with late wickets but they didn't have enough time to bowl SA out and the Redbacks finished on 7/176.

Andrew McDonald finished with 3/15 from nine overs for Victoria with Nannes, McKay, Harwood and Holland all taking one wicket.

So, a draw was the result in what turned out to be a pretty good last day. Victoria take away two points for winning first innings while SA go away empty handed.

Victoria now play Queensland at the Gabba in round two of the Sheffield Shield starting on Tuesday whilst South Australia host New South Wales in the Ford Ranger Cup on Wednesday.
