South Africa A and Academy to tour Bangladesh

The A side - effectively a South African 2nd XI - play two four-day matches against Bangladesh A and then take part in a triangular ODI series (4 round robin matches and a possible final) that also features West Indies A.
The Standard Bank Academy side will play two four-day matches, three ODIs and two Pro20 matches against their Bangladesh counterparts.

I think it is great that the South African A side and the Academy will be touring Bangladesh. It will help the South African players to learn to play on different wickets and as the World Cup will be on the subcontinent it makes sense. Also it will benefit Bangladesh Cricket as well as they will be playing some strong opposition. So this tour is mutual beneficial to both nations.

South Africa A one-day squad: Thami Tsolekile (Highveld Lions, capt), Ryan Bailey (Diamond Eagles), Paul Harris (Titans), Colin Ingram (Warriors), Ethy Mbhalati (Titans), David Miller (Dolphins), Vernon Philander (Cape Cobras), Rilee Rossouw (Diamond Eagles), Thandi Tshabalala (Diamond Eagles), Lonwabo Tsotsobe (Warriors), Jonathan Vandiar (Highveld Lions), Johannes van der Wath (Diamond Eagles), Morne van Wyk (Diamond Eagles), Stiaan van Zyl (Cape Cobras).

Definitely a good thing. I'd like to see more of this though, and including the stronger associate nations.

As said, a good idea. All countries should be doing the same and including associate sides.
