Outside of the new ball nothing in the Lords track for the pacemen, likely be the standard deck for the Ashes too so expect a summer bat fest. What has happened to the pure game. Still if it saves five day cricket from extinction we purists will have to cop it sweet.

We also have Boland and whether or not he’s better suited than Neser, Boland is the incumbent so he’ll probably play.

I can see Boland being a menace on English pitches with his hard line and length. Should work well into aggressive batting too, frustrate them with balls they can’t consistently hit.
