The BaggyGreens Thread

Sorry for the mic drop of profanities last night.
Btw not my doing blanking the F word. Must be part of the forums editing software. I can tell you I was feeling the same when I read 3-12 at stumps.

I blame CA and George Bailey/ Ronnie McDonald specially for our present predicament by playing favorites and letting Warner stay past his used by date. They set a precedent doing that and now we are stuck with a fast ageing team that look as tho the modern game has passed them by. Ussie next for the old folkes home.

No mate, Marnus' spot is hanging by the proverbial thread. Completely out of his depth against fast bowling. Seen his last 10 Test scores, only decent one was in NZ against a pop gun attack.

Marnus should be dropped im just saying he won’t be dropped.

im just saying he won’t be dropped.
No choice if he keeps playing like this. If 104 and 3/12 wasnt a wake up call for our selectors then I am lost. Cant afford to keep a passenger even if he is Marnus Labuchagne or even a legend like Steven Smith. The Baggy Green brand comes first.

With our top order in disarray, Tim Ward and Henry Hunt, both 27, could not have picked a more opportune time to perform an almost lazarus type return to their best form.

Going on the ease the Indian openers found things last evening I'd say positively yes. This pair struggled big time in first innings.

Really, ECB not interested in taking the feed. That is slack. See if you can find a free streaming site. If no luck I'll help you.
Very kind of you, but I should be OK - my bro had let his TNT Sports subscription lapse, the selfish ************, but he's seen sense now that we're playing NZ, so I should be able to catch a bit of the day-nighter - likely to be more interesting than what transpires over the Tasman. I wonder if we're going to see any knee-jerk selectorial reactions? Not exactly the normal Aussie way of business. Marnus is obviously under the most pressure, and he really looked in a bad place - that lbw in the second dig the shot of a man whose mind is all over the place, but I don't get the impression that there's an obvious replacement waiting.

Who watched Konstas smash the Indian attack from arsehole to breakfast yesterday. Exciting stuff from a teen mature well beyond his years. I want CA to use the Konstas blueprint for Adelaide against Bumrah. Take him out of his comfort zone. Ussie too authodox, then Marsh. Perhaps not with the prowess of Konstas but certainly with the power.

I want CA to use the Konstas blueprint for Adelaide against Bumrah. Put him out of his comfort zone, dont let him settle into a rythm. Ussie cant do it, too authodox, but Marsh or Head could. Not with the prowess of Konstas but certainly with the power.

Khawaja and McSweeney are both perfectly fine one day players in their own rights. If they wanted it they could definitely take the attack to him.

Can’t say much for how well it’ll go but I think they’re capable of it.

Throw in Marsh to open. Immediately puts doubt in the minds of Indian skipper and Bumrah. We saw the Ussie attempt at aggression in Perth, a mistimed hook. Just give Bison a license to destroy Bumrahs accuracy and confidence. Wont be the first time, Green did it four years ago.

I hate Bumrah and I personally think he's a chucker who cheats, he's not a slinger.

Mate if he was actually chucking it wouldn’t you think it’d be pretty quickly brought up and banned considering all the technology and scrutiny that illegal actions rightfully get.

I’m by no means a Bumrah fan but there is no doubt he is legitimately a very good bowler. With all due respect your comment just sounds really salty.

personally think he's a chucker who cheats,
His hyper extension can be deceiving when watched at full speed. But watch it in slow motion and then you may change your mind mate. He has to be double jointed somewhere in his load to get the slinging affect.

He looks like a chucker to me and if umpire Hair was still around, I'm pretty sure he'd ping him lots of times just like he use to Murali.

I'm not being salty it's just my personal opinion, if you think he's action is legit then fair enough but I'm not going to change my mind about his action and i'm not the only one as well.

I have to say I agreed with Hair at the time. He was tarred and feathered over his brave stance and I think Piggy Parker also no balled Murali.

Second BGT Test starts today. First session may be hit by thunderstorms tho. Aussie cricket is at a crossroads if they loose this one.

You are correct as there is a minor bending of the elbow. But, wait for the punchline. It is within the rules, the same rule that permitted Murali to bowl in Test cricket. Bowl, more like flick, similar to a sling shot. He took the most ever wickets by default. Warne was the best ever as he had a pure action.

How many times was Murali pinged for an illegal delivery by umpire Hair?
