The new T20 money spinners!

NDIAN raiders are sweeping through NSW cricket, with the Kolkata franchise signing young all-rounder Moises Henriques to a staggering deal worth up to $US300,000 ($449,000) and pursuing Blues teammates David Warner and Steven Smith.

Henriques's contract is believed to be heavily incentive-based, but it still stands to make him the highest-paid junior cricketer in the country. The St George all-rounder said he was unaware whether the contract had been finalised, although Kolkata chief executive Joy Bhattacharya confirmed terms had been agreed upon.

Henriques has played just nine first-class games for NSW, but such is the regard in which Kolkata hold him, the 21-year-old was signed alongside Sri Lankan prodigy Ajantha Mendis as one of their two pre-auction picks.

Kolkata have also made a six-figure offer to powerhouse batsman Warner and are chasing rookie all-rounder Smith. To make room on their player list, the Knight Riders are rumoured to be considering buying out the contract of local hero Sourav Ganguly and Pakistani paceman Shoaib Akhtar, and may also trade David Hussey to the Delhi Daredevils.

IPL franchises are allowed to field just 10 international players in their squads. Players with international experience will go into an auction in February, while those with domestic-only resumes - like Henriques - can be signed in advance.

That's alot of cash for such young guys. Hopefully it doesn't put too much pressure on their development and they can turn into Australian players.
