Been great viewing in the first few days of the first test match. The pitch has a really good balance between helping the batsmen and helping the bowlers. Was hoping SL would win though...

Another one bites the dust!
Phil Simmons suspended as coach of WI because he was honest and not a 'yes' man... WI cricket is a joke because their national cricket board is even more of a joke.

Well we did lose but Zimbabwe batted brilliantly and deserved the victory. Kane is a machine and Taylor isn't bad either!
After looking promising in the World Cup, Zimbabwe seem to be on the rise.. Similarly to Ireland, they need to find some more quality bowlers though.
The tigers seemed like an improved side in the World Cup and now they seem to be proving it.
What's that? A three nil drubbing of Pakistan? They also won the only T20 with ease last night.
Have they finally matured as a cricketing nation?
I would suggest they have as they have the 'semi old'...
Potentially the greatest commentator of all time has sadly passed away after battling cancer for some time.
84 is a great innings Richie!
Thoughts with his friends and family.

Sounds like the pitch for today will have pace, bounce and is almost as green as Kermit... I'm not going to get too excited yet though cause I recall a certain Dunedin Test where they said similar things and it turned out to be one of the most placid pitches of all time lol. Will have to wait...
It's actually not a bad squad... A bit weak in the bowling maybe.

Here's the Blackcaps - how I see them.
Brendon McCullum - great captain - batting: either hot or cold (best in the team or worst)
Ross Taylor - great batsmen: world class.
Kane Williamson - classy player: going to be one of the worlds best batsmen in coming years
Jesse Ryder - super talent: own...
