Watched a player get sent off the field today in Keilors match against Hoppers Crossing. Dissapointing to hear that said player actually umpires Premier League First XI matches on Saturday, yet was heard threatening violence against opposition players. Gave his own teammates a burn on his way off the field. Big chance he's looking for a new club next season.

Druids get the job done but APW must be happy with the seasn year after mass departures at the start of the year.
Word on the street was Ice on the wicket Sat night at Keilor, WC ao 27 - If this is right then Keilor are a disgrace
St Albans break to hoo doo with Merlo packing up and leaving by 5pm on day 1 of the Semi. T.Lakes in a nail biter getting over the line against Abers in by far the best SF over the VTCA

Carnegie lost 7/29 to fall 7 or 8 runs short in their game with Bonbeach. Amazing what pressure on a chase can do in lower grade cricket.
Real shame that Yarraville and South Caulfield didn't meet in the big dance.
To be fair the VTCA handling of the 2nd XI has been nothing short of farcical all season. 18 team comps, 2 finals series, and now in that South Seconds "Finals Series" Hampton, after finishing 8th get given a Home Grand Final??
Pressure will do that at most levels, but that would have been an enthralling collapse to see! I don't understand having such a large number of teams in some of those seconds comps. I think even Premier at the moment is pushing the boundaries of too many teams.
What's the point of having more teams in a comp than you can fixture round robins for during the Home and Away season?

Unsure. Just looking through the different fixtures and noticed Bonbeach Tangy v Hampton at Hampton. Who knows?
The VTCA do things that boggles the mind, why a 4 day Grand Final is played still makes no sense to me. Can understand 2 days and a Reserve Day. If they want to play 3 weekends of finals, do what the Subbies do and play a Top 6 over 3 week finals series.
1 v 6 , 2 v 5, 3 v 4. Week 1
Highest Ranked Winner v Highest Ranked Loser. 2nd Highest Ranked Winner v 3rd Highest Ranked Winner. Week 2.

Grand finals should be played on the best grounds, quite clearly the VTCA don't rate the bonbeach cow paddock and rightly so!!
