Re: RESULTS round 7

Scotch all out 126. (Van Den Brook 40)

St Kevs 2/9 overnight. and all out for 104. Grose 3fa and Muttdon 3fa

Scotch 4/180 odd (Clayton 48, Mather 40, Macmillan 52 not out, Wolfe 30)

Re: RESULTS round 7

Carey comprehensively beat Haileybury who are in all sorts this year and most likely for the next two years
Chancellor(tonned up) and Reid(5fa) dominated with bat and ball with Haileybury's only top performers in Martin(both bat and ball) and Wakefield.
One of their yr10s, Nainhabo i think, played a shocking game. Dropped Chancellor on 80 odd and was appalling in the field and according to blokes from Haileybury hasnt scored an APS run as yet
Coleman wasnt anything spesh and Mathers did well with the bad scoring 15odd. These two will be the ones to look out for in the next 2years.
The day belonged to Chancellor and Reid. Superstars

Re: RESULTS round 7

MGS 7-299 declared defeated The Geelong College 98 & 170 Outright by an innings and 31 runs.

Geelong chose to bat first on the flattest pitch you will ever see. at 1-40 of 20 overs they were looking ok until wickets fell regularly. At 1-0 MGS were in trouble in reply later that afternoon however by the end of the day and only 20 overs later MGS had romped to 4-100 with Will Payne 77not out.

The next morning him and R.Thomas scored fluently as payne finished on 146 (128 balls) before being superbly caught at cover. Thomas went for 70 of only 50 balls. Geelong looked settled before the ball began to reverse. Voyage took 4 and James 'from the ghetto' Betto took 3-62 of 32 overs.
MGS won outright with 15 overs left in the day.

Geelong College still asking themselves 'who is club cricketer?' it could be anyone from Monty Wilson to team mascot BODAN

'team morale +8'

Re: RESULTS round 7

Are you serious about the wesley firsts losing to the 2nds/10A's? that is actually hilarious. Is the next game, the 1sts v 7A's, 7's tipped to win.

Re: RESULTS round 7

MGS are looking very formidable.

With s land (77, 32 & 25), payno (146), rich thomas (90, 72) and gooley (45, 30 & 40) all scoring runs so far this term, with shaw and keathy having had a couple of quiet past couple of weeks, along with tommy morris now fit and back in team (made 35 vs Xavier), the batting is looking very strong.

Bowling is looking very good as well, with rory mitchell and nick voyage the most underrated opening bowling pair in history. Conistently expose middle orders in first 10 overs, leaving bettsy and the big fast tearaway louis cameron to clean the opposition up. Then if need be rich thomas can bowl (spinning the ball a metre - i kid you not) along with s. land's handy medium's. Great to see shawry bowl again vs. xavier (didnt go too well though) however bowled 3 overs in second innings against GC and removed dangerman shaw kitchen (claimed it was part of a plan) with a crafty spell of pace and spin (some of the worst bowling in aps history)

Nah, 1sts won, 10/206 (50 overs) d 10/175 (60 overs)

Rory Mitchell is a decent bowler and may deserve these wraps.. but voyage is useless.. not worth a penny.. absolute hack and should be reserved for 2nd change at best.

bettsy biggest ************ ever
