A lot of runs will be scored at Beena arena, hopefully it will encourage a shift away from the traditional GF tactics of 5/150 being a good days batting. Should be a cracker - the old title holder against the up and comer. I'm following the South and going for Bentleigh. Any other GF venues been announced yet? I am sure the hosting clubs are aware - well I hope so.

who do you think guys will take out the premiership in each of the matches next weekend
 
The last home and away season was a mess. I spent more time shopping with my wife on the weekend than I did on the cricket pitch. Something has been bugging me. It's a thought I had on the train to work one morning when you're pretending not to notice everyone around you. Not taking anything at all away from any of the Grand Final sides, but do you think that with the reduced amount of games played last season we still received a true reflection of the teams?

For example Yarraville were obviously the best side in Senior Division, but they finished 4th during the home and away season. Maybe if we had more uninterrupted 2 day games they may have finished higher?

Out of a 14 game season in South D1, Beaumaris made the finals with 3 wins and Moorabbin Park made the finals with just 2 wins. In North D1 it was even worse with Keilor and Seddon both making the finals with 2 wins apiece.

What are peoples' thoughts? Was your club unlucky during the home and away season??? Obviously to a certain degree you make your own luck. Interested to hear peoples' thoughts...

I think I have almost talked myself into playing at an astro turf club during October... ;)
