Group A World Cup

And they get home with 3 balls to spare, great effort to comeback from the terrible position they were in at one stage. Their ever first WC victory.
Fantastic for Afghanistan, their first world cup win. Can anyone really say that the minnow's should not be in the world cup?

Man that was fun! I enjoyed that more than the SA/Ind game. Dilshan was the main man. But despite it being against Bangladesh in a odi, I'll forever be grateful I saw a Sangakkara ton live. I'll add more about it later.

Truly I loved it but tbh sangakara really stepped it up he scored very quickly than usual but plenty to improve on for sri lanka. We were sloppy in the field and I don't get the point of only playing 3 full bowlers and having so many all rounders my opinion always a team must have 4 full time bowlers.

Hopefully the Aussies can give these cocky Sheepshaggers a massive reality check tomorrow night on their own dung heap :p

The only reality check that Eden Park will provide is why the convicts have been so afraid to play New Zealand ever since we beat you at Hobart! ;)

Considering popular opinion is that this match-up will be in the final. I wonder how much it's worth winning this game. We've seen in other sports, the result of the final has been the reverse of the previous contest.

I don't know what to think?

It's definitely not a bad idea to win to help finish above them in the group.

For example if we were to meet in a semi and they were above us the game would be played at Eden Park instead of the MCG.

Finishing first also means playing 4th from group B in the quarters which probably means an easier opponent.

I suppose you've got to get to the final first, before worrying about omens. Watching the preview from Ian Smith on the C9 coverage. It's just occurred to me this ground is where NZ won the Rugby WC final.

Atm this world cup is taking turns I have no idea who will make it to the semi's because india is doing well , south africa hit some form and the west indies you never know when they would fire and ofc these two teams australia and new zealand so its going to be a interesting few weeks ahead of us.

A puny ground. But the outfield is slow. Warner didn't even go at 100+. Maybe not as easy as it seems. Southee leaking runs like Niagara falls, but taken two wickets and caught the other.

Yep. The new zealand bowlers are really impressive.
Those aussies that said we would be getting 500 runs yeah right embarrass the country.
