Re: Improving grip thanks for the advice liz. i have been practicing with weights in the nets for more than a week and i dont notice much pain in my wrists after the match so it has definately had some effect. the bat seems slightly more comfortable to hold now.

Re: Sanath Jayasuriya set to retire he has had a great career. nice that he is retiring on a high. sri lanka might struggle with openers now that atapattu and jayasuriya have retired. vandort seems a good player probably tharanga will be the other opener.

Re: West Indies and Zimbabwe west indies won very comfortably today. zimbabwe had a good chance of winning the series but they have messed it up. they still need to work very hard on their cricket. they played wonderfully in the first odi but the batting has been very poor in the last 2 games...

Re: South Africa vs New Zealand gibbs was the difference between the two sides. he played a wonderful entertaining innings. a whitewash would have been good but we batted poorly in the 2nd odi.

Re: Gary Kirsten to be new Indian coach i think hes going to do a fine job. he was a great batsman and is a very good coach too. they dont really need coaching at this level just some tips to fine tune their technique if they are having any trouble.

Re: Slips guide to glory! yeah agree just like when batting you only need to concentrate during deliveries then i chat a bit with the keeper before the next delivery when its time to concentrate again. maybe you should reposition yourself if they arent carrying up to you or flying over you.

Re: The umpire's word is final ... but wrong lol i was just kidding. talking about bad decisions the other day a team mate was given stumped but there wasnt a ball in the keepers hand. i could see it clearly from the other end but apparently the umpire couldnt.

Re: The umpire's word is final ... but wrong youve got a bat in your hand, hit the umpire with it.we never have neutral umps for our games. most of them are fine but there are a couple of incompetent clowns. ive been given out caught off the helmet though my bat was no where near it

Re: Encouraging People to play cricket if they watch some exciting matches they might take interest. if they still dont enjoy it then i think they never will. i remember watching that 99 world cup semi final it was after that i really got interested into cricket.

Re: South Africa vs New Zealand amazing batting by Nel. 9 runs of 3 balls really amazing. we were poised to win but managed to make a mess out of it but nel turned out to be the unlikely hero.

Re: England against the SL BP XI im not following this match but panesar is much better than giles. he still needs to develop more. england and south africa never had any match winning spinners recently but england have found one in panesar these days.

Re: Best Captain ever yeah steve waugh was a good captain. he always had a good team but when they were in trouble he would get them out of it. pontings captaincy is hardly worth noting.
