2010-2011 coaching positions

BUNDOORA CRICKET CLUB
Affiliated Diamond Valley Cricket Association
(Barclay Shield Premiers – 75/76, 85/86, 87/88, 94/95, 98/99, 01/02)

WANTED SENIOR COACH
Playing or non playing.
& Senior Players
(Remuneration Negotiable)

The Bundoora Cricket Club has established itself as one of the leading clubs in the northern suburbs over the last 30 years.
We have enjoyed significant on field success through both our senior and junior teams (we fielded six senior and four junior teams this season).

Over the last decade we have come through a rebuilding phase and are now reaping the rewards for the hard work done over this time.
We achieved this by instilling a strong junior focus at the club and this has seen many good young cricketers come through into our most senior teams in recent times.

Our senior numbers are now strong and flourishing. But we can be much better!

This season has so far been a very successful on field. We have 5 of our senior teams who should play finals as will 3 of the junior teams.

We are fortunate to have the best social facilities in the northern suburbs, which help us remain strong financially, as well as a maintaining a strong family and social culture that exists within the club.
We have a strong, unified and hard working committee, who all strive for the one goal – to make Bundoora as successful as we can be.

Unfortunately, our current coach of the last 3 years has indicated he cannot continue next season.
We are therefore looking for a new senior coach who can now develop our younger players further to assist them and the club in taking the next step to lead to further success on field for the club.

The key to this will be the appointment of a senior coach, the successful candidate will:
• Have a proven track record of on field personal success
• Display an in depth knowledge of the game
• Have strong interpersonal skills
• Possess leadership qualities, to be able to lead by example and set strong training standards
• Be able to develop a medium to long term strategy to build player skill levels
• Assist in the development of our younger players.

Ideally we are looking for someone that has recently retired from District or Sub District level, and is looking to establish a coaching career at a suburban club with a medium to long term commitment. We are also happy to consider other senior players from within the DVCA and surrounding competitions who meet the criteria.

Importantly we are seeking a coach who is sincerely interested in finding a home at Bundoora Cricket Club. Someone who is keen to further develop a good young list and not just someone chasing a quick buck.

If you feel that you have the necessary skills and passion, and believe that we are the type of club that you are looking for, then please contact:

Re: 2010-2011 coaching positions

No need to advertise for this position, you already had your 2010/2011 club coach playing with your club in Barclay Shield last season, Wayne Wunhym was always going to coach the club after Brad Dean. It was only a matter of time, if he wasn't he would have stayed at Montmorency as a player.

True - We offered WW the coaching role for last season but he declined and said he was staying LOYAL to Monty.

Only after he was shafted badly by the Monty Exec did he come back to us - as a player.

This season he applied for the position and was appointed.

We are grateful to have a player and person of Wayne's ability and character coaching our club.

Your loss - our gain.
