2nd ODI: England vs India at Bristol
We head into the second game of this series much the same as how the test series started. England dominated in the first game but unlike the test series they were able to come up with a win.
This encounter should be able to gauge on how both teams are going. England were very good in the first match but as the test series discovered, that performance showed more than what England actually were. It will be interesting to see if India can recover here however, a fair portion of the side missed training with the flu and general soreness. Sachin Tendulkar is one of those players with the others being Zaheer Khan, Ajit Agarkar, RP Singh and Yuvraj Singh. Tendulkar loves this ground and his last two innings have resulted in 100's which have converted to 300+ totals for the Indians. They will be looking to do much the same thing today.
Still no Ryan Sidebottom for England who is expected to miss the next couple of games with injury therefore Stuart Broad keeps his place. The return of Andrew Flintoff in game one provided a much needed boost for the home side who needed to start well after a poor test series. England are expected to go into the match unchanged.
India still have a few choices to make before picking their eleven. With a 300+ pitch expected and the fact that the ground is quite small, two spinners may be a dangerous option. The inner circle gets closer to the boundary line at the pavilion end, the slower bowlers may go for a few runs here.
Expect a good match up here, India will be keen to get on the board and level the series with England wanting to get a mini-break on the Indians with five matches left after this game.
