Across the Divide
Not sure really what to call this one, but the title is as good as I can get for now.
For this drill you will need to mark out a rectangular box with cones - allow about 3m per person so base the length on that times number of player (6 is an ideal number).
You then have one person situated in the box and 6 players lined up on one side. Once everything is set up the idea is for the person in the box to stop the other players getting across.
The other players have to throw the ball over the box and catch it on the other side. If they drop the ball or get tagged by the 'defender' then they join him in the middle.
The idea of this game is too teach catching under pressure and keeping your eye on the ball as well as being fun.
The attached diagram gives a basic idea of the game, with the blue dots being attackers and the green dot the defender.
