Big Bash League 2014/15

How good is Channel 10 commentary. Casual, great insight and showing the guys on channel 9 just how it should be done!

It's very good. Certainly showing up some of the Channel 9 commentators, including James "OMG that was a dot ball!" Brayshaw.

Yeah Gilchrist, Waugh, Fleming and Ponting are all really good. Only one that is crap is that Maher flog.

The first four have great chemistry together regardless of which combination of three are actually calling the game. Maher is hopeless, hopefully he does less games but I can't see that happening. Of course the jewel in the telecast is that total babe Mel McLachlin.

Wasn't Brett Lee just awesome last night. At 37/38 he just showed that he still has it. Was awesome to watch. While Nic Maddinson has done well at the top of the order for the Sixers, getting off to a good start. I think he showed his immaturaty by the way he got out - Not every ball needs to be smashed.

Disappointing there's no game on now. Bored ****less. This is the time to have a game!

edit: Just found out ABC2 are playing The Godfather. I suppose that'll do.

Good win by the Scorchers tonight, spluttered their way to 7/135 before rolling the Sixers for just 99. Behrendorff should be playing T20 for Australia very shortly, 7 wickets @ 7.84 with an economy of 4.58. That's world class stuff right there.

Melbourne Renegades breezed past the Thunder tonight. Thunder started horribly and never recovered to post 6/144 from their 20 overs. Melbourne Renegades scored 2/118 from just 13.5 overs to chase the target down very easily.

Interesting KP saying Mohammad Asif was the hardest bowler he faced. Disappointed that when asked what was the best sledge he heard, he chose some knob in the crowd, at a club game, having a pop at a not-Steve/Mark Waugh brother. Soft target.

Commentators discussing the possibilities of World Cup spots being given as a result of BBL form. With the ball Sandhu just bowled, he won't be getting a spot.

Strange move by the Scorchers to get Muirhead all the way over when he still can't get a game with Hogg out. Maybe they are worried about the strength of the batting but you would think they would have bothered to consider this beforehand.
