Nah, well played India, great win. With such a young side it bodes well for the next world cup.

Yeah the bowlers were the real architects of this win. Traditionally it has been the batsmen that have won India matches, but the bowlers came good on this tour. This has been a very successful tour for India and this young team should be proud of their achievements.

That's been the difference this entire tour. We finally have some world-class pace bowlers, even though you wouldn't really class Kumar has a particularly fast bowler. Ishant Sharma has been a revelation, but the best part is that our bench strength has developed by leaps and bounds. Even if one of the bowlers get injured, you have players like Zaheer Khan and Patel ready to step in. Tendulkar has shown that he's not too far off his best even at this age. I hope he sticks around till the 2011 WC. It would be nice to give him a send-off at home and dare I say it, with a WC victory.

winning against australia was great...but india still need to improve on batting...opening batting is not consistent...it would have been better if dada opened the batting..

The opening was not up to the mark until the finals but its unlikely that Ganguly will be recalled to the ODI team. They need to look past Sehwag since he has had numerous chances but keeps disappointing. I think that either Uthappa or Gambhir must open along with Tendulkar.

but the batting would have been better if dada was playing...we won the series so everyone will forget about the batting problems...

dada should retire now. there is no way he is going to be back in the odi side. though it will be interesting to see how he gets along with dhoni in the tests

yeah afaik dhoni told the selectors to drop ganguly and probably dravid too. he wants a young team and now that the young team has been successful i dont think seniors will be back in the odi side.

Opening was a problem throughout the series but as rajan said India won so everyone forgets. Uthappa did a good job in the finals but I think Ganguly would have certainly done better. His fielding is a big let down though and I dont think he is going to be back. I think Gambhir should open. Uthappa is good on flat tracks but otherwise he is a lbw candidate. Gambhir did exceedingly in Australia and I think he might be the right choice to open.
