My understanding was that he was not too keen to coach, something must have changed his mind.
Do you think Jesensek is a shot for Scott Gibbs' title of DVCA poster boy?? Seeing as though he was the Jika poster boy for so long?

And before anyone gets defensive........I am well aware of there cricketing ability and background and yes theyre bloody good players!!

Does it not seem strange that Mernda may have recruited another bowler when it is probably more evident they need a batsmen after losing Snowy?

I think it stranger that you would be asking a question in regards to yourself Snow!

We all know it is Snowy. Are you gonna miss him this year or is there a new panel alltogether?

Re: DVCA: Player movements and rumours

Snowy any truth in the rumour that you had discussions with Diamond Creek and Riverside about captaining there before last years season ended and Mernda found out? Or that you wanted to play at a club where you were GUARANTEED to open the batting??

They should still carry on with Snowey's say I reckon.Which one of them will be able to be serious enough on an issue for more than 2 minutes?

That is a good Rumour, If there's any truth to it. Despite peoples thoughts on him personally, he is a quality bat and sometimes you need to dangle a carrott to try and persuade good players to come. i think most people would agree that he's a very good bat and if i'd have known he was available i would have spoken to him as well.
Not sure about wanting to open the batting though, i've got written into my contract i don't bat til the Hurst brothers are physically exhausted, Keaysy has shortened his run up and when Salvatore joins Rosbrook at Plenty this season i probably wont bat at all!!

I agree Snowy is a good bat

Re: DVCA: Player movements and rumours

Does anybody know if the meeting at Bundoora on Monday night is open to all and sundry or just to club delegates??

As long as you attend as part of your club ie - with your delegate i suppose it's ok, check with your club. one or two people maybe, not 20 or 30.

If not, you can always just drop in and have a few pots while the meetings on, you can still hear what they're saying from the bar:D

Option 2 sounds very civilised to me!! - Thanks

Well I herd that Salvatore is going to bowl wit a tennis ball this season coz the cricket ball is too heavy for him and hurts his hand so you will be fine Bundoora

Believe me they are not that interesting.Mostly full of yes men.

Well if they are all YES men perhaps they should turn it around and a__ehole the Taipans application. Got to start abiding by the constitution. If you were talking fines, etc. they'd ram the laws down your thoat. It seems however that when it suits them they bend any rule top suit. Will reiterate that the decision to allow the Borough admittance through is just another example. BTW nothing against them coming into the comp but surely should have been told to apply in accordance with the connie. Taipans are however another issue.

I agree and seems a bit contradictive!
The Valley has always been Kangaroo court.Making rules up as they go

Re: DVCA: Player movements and rumours

Daniel Bramich has been offered money from Lower Eltham i hear. Only young, a good prospect. Played for Northcote and currently at Rivergum. With the loss of Salvatore would be looking for Bramich to be a long term prospect you would think. Only 19 or 20 i think pretty quick bowler!

Also heard Lalor Stars might have snared Stefan Berak any truth to that Cold Case?

Definately not true.Bramich is.Offered him decent amount too.Too young to be offered decent money.Should be playing for the love of it at that age.No I was not paid until mid 20's when I got $100 a game and now it costs me $150 a week to play!
If you want it take it and good luck to the boy.
