Early Hip Drive

I have tried doing the hip drive but I do not bring the hip quick enough forward, what i was wondering was when I land, my back foot goes firmly into the ground first and then I start my hip drive when my bowling arm is three quarters of a way up. I have benn looking at brett lee and he starts his hip drive before he even lands. On the pics he has started his hip drive before the front leg has even been planted. I hav tried to do that but it is very hard I cannot do it. Can you please tell me how to start this hip drive early so that by the time my bowling arm is high my kneed are level together?

Re: Early Hip Drive

first post on this forum....i've been reading it the last couple of days and it seems to be a very good resource with some great tips...

anyway, about the "hip drive" and Brett Lee's action - have a look at this video: [ame="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1-VHjGBS1KI"]YouTube - Cricket in Super Slow Motion (2000 frames per second)[/ame] go to around 29-30s and you can watch brett lee's action in slow motion - that might help clear up some questions you have.

on a side note, watch around 1:05 and you'll see that lee is truly an amazing athlete.
