Eca 2011/2012

The Deepdene Bears are currently enjoying several XXXX's to celebrate their 1's and 2's premiership wins. Not bad for a club of chokers. We are now in the off season. A word of advice for next season XXXX, try to focus more on the positives rather than the negatives. As you've seen this season, more often than not you'll be made to look a fool. Go The Bears!

What sort of celebration did u have if you were sitting around looking at this forum after the game?? Geez u bears boys know how to party!! Given ur lack of success over the years, you prob can be excused for not knowing how to celebrate a victory after years of heartbreaking SF losses. Hope the XXXX tasted alright Sat night, it is prob all u could afford to drink after the rumoured HUGE coin was parted with for season 11/12. Parsons is a star, make no mistake, poor bloke has prob been booked in for shoulder surgery after carrying the bears all season.

What a pathetic attempt to try and rain on a parade, I truly feel sorry for you. Well done to the Bears and that makes I believe four different Dunstan winners in a row. Deepdene won it from 8th the previous year so there's hope for us all, but not xxxx, there's no hope for a puddle of monkey spunk like him.

Very quiet over the past few months on the site. Lots happening off field. Mate was at the Sub district presentation night last week.
Lots of discussion about future management of cricket. Cricket Victoria is rumored to be looking to take over cricket down to just above association level. ie swallow up subbie clubs into an expanded comp with Premier being played in divisions with relegation/promotion. This could eventuate over next 2-3 tears as part of a review into local cricket. ECA apparently going to revisit merge with Southern churches.HDCA is in disarray and will probably self destruct. With Tooronga merging with East Malvern. VTCA clubs along the Dandenong road out east will also look at future merges and affilitaion.
Could be changes at the top in the cricket union.
Anybody else heard anything to support his assertions?

Actually I think I got this the wrong way around. My latest mail suggest that East Ivanhoe will be in A grade and Edinburgh will get B grade.
Beware ECA Do not get anywhere near the Edinburgh's 1st XI team in March they suffer from the disease of MARCHARIA. Deadly disease they said that the Bird flu was big and the Plague was bigger. But Marcharia is a disease that will last for generations to come if diagnosed. Scientists are working on Vaccinations so that the disease doesn't spread.
Just heads up to those who will play against this team who have all got this sickening disease.

Those talking about East Ivanhoe Saints and Edinburgh are on the money.
Do not discount that Macgibbon will not go to an 10 team grade for next season.
It still will also be interesting how Tooronga go after amalgamating with East Malvern
Porter is off to Keilor as A turf not his scene.
Not sure where Edinburgh would rate but ground should be good on the old Fitzroy footy ground.

I hope he is coming back, quality player he was, great for the competition.

Is there anymore information on these new clubs?

Depends what has happened with player retention/recruitment, but going off last seasons teams Edinburgh will be very competitive would suggest top 4, East Ivanhoe bottom couple.
