There should be some big crowds coming to watch the Poms this summer as there is a buzz of excited cricket fans in NZ at the moment.

England has picked a full strength side for all three formats which is good to see but will make for a mighty challenge.

I'm struggling to find New Zealand's squad announcement but they'll probably name each format side individually.

Here's my prediction:

T20 Side:
Corey Anderson (if fit), Andrew Ellis, Nathan McCullum, Adam Milne, Rob Nicol (NO!), Neil Wagner (really?), Martin Guptill, Mitchell McClenaghan, Colin Munro, Ross Taylor (maybe), Grant Elliot, James Franklin, Ronnie Hira, Brendon McCullum (Captain and probably wicket-keeper), Kyle Mills, Jimmy Neesham (maybe), Kane Williamson (Noooo!), Luke Ronchi (likely)

ODI Side:
Corey Anderson, Doug Bracewell (why?), Andrew Ellis, Tom Latham, Nathan McCullum, Adam Milne (maybe), Rob Nicol (please no!), Tim Southee (Yes!!), Martin Guptil (lucky), Mitchell McClenaghan, Colin Munro, Ross Taylor (Yes!!), BJ Watling, Trent Boult (use him!), Grant Elliot, James Franklin (suck it haters!), Ronnie Hira, Brendon McCullum (C+W), Kyle Mills (gulp), Jimmy Neesham (really?), Kane Williamson (yes!)

Test Side:
Doug Bracewell (No!!), Peter Fulton (I wanna cry), Rob Nicol (maybe - please shoot me!), Tim Southee (yes!!), Neil Wagner, Dean Brownlie (yes!), Daniel Flynn, Martin Guptill (NOO!), Mitchell McClenaghan, Chris Martin, Colin Munro (hmmm), Ross Taylor (YESS!!), BJ Watling (W - yes!), Trent Boult, Grant Elliot (him or Franklin), Brendon McCulum (C), Jeetan Patel (lucky), Kane Williamson.

The actual sides have been named for the T20's and ODI's lol. I was wrong on a few names like no Nicol (HURRAH!), Butler gets back in, Hamish Rutherford is in the T20 side and that's about it.

Twenty20 squad for the ANZ International Series:

Brendon McCullum (c) - Otago Volts
Trent Boult - Northern Knights
Ian Butler - Otago Volts
Grant Elliott - Wellington Firebirds
Andrew Ellis - Canterbury Wizards
James Franklin - Wellington Firebirds
Martin Guptill - Auckland Aces
Roneel Hira - Canterbury Wizards
Mitchell McClenaghan - Auckland Aces
Nathan McCullum - Otago Volts
Colin Munro - Auckland Aces
Hamish Rutherford - Otago Volts
Ross Taylor -Central Stags

ODI squad for the ANZ International Series:

Brendon McCullum (c) - Otago Volts
Trent Boult - Northern Knights
Grant Elliott - Wellington Firebirds
Andrew Ellis - Canterbury Wizards
James Franklin - Wellington Firebirds
Martin Guptill - Auckland Aces
Mitchell McClenaghan - Auckland Aces
Nathan McCullum - Otago Volts
Kyle Mills - Auckland Aces
Colin Munro - Auckland Aces
Ross Taylor -Central Stags
BJ Watling - Northern Knights
Kane Williamson - Northern Knights

Strong NZ squad, you can see that England see NZ as a threat and so they should. Taylor is certainly going to keep England busy...it will be interesting how the rest of the Kiwi team fare...Im really looking forward to this one, it will be a very competitive series of matches

Looking forward to watching the T20s starting on Saturday, a good opportunity for NZ to knock England off.

Betting
New Zealand $2.25
England $1.65

I'll be surprised if Taylor does well. Has very little match practice heading in and hasn't done all that well in the games he has played in.

ODI's and T20's should be good though.

Just got home to see NZ set a massive 215 although I guess with Eden Park being postage stamp like in dimensions it's still quite possible to get.

Young Hamish sure looks like his old man.

Oh nice catch from Morgan to get McCullum running with the flight of the ball, NZ on track with RR but a big wicket.

I know it's a unique situation for cricket have to share venues with rugby but the length of the fine leg boundaries at Eden Park are pretty farcical :p

That Dernbach guy is such a tosser, some textbook wicket keeping right there at the end..

So they get 192, it's not often that you think that there is a chance that a score like that might not be quite enough!

Hayles is just an out and out slogger.

edit* and now McCullum drops him after eventually making it to the skied catch. NZ need to bowl well like they did the other day defending 140.
