Good length ball

Hi, i need to know what is the exact good length area so i can get the guys at training to aim at this spot. we had a lot of bowlers bowling too short on the weekend which most likely cost us the game

Hmm that seems a bit far we arent playing on turf i play in "U15s" on synthetic turf so does it change?

A good length will be around 6-8 yards from the batsman but it varies from pitch to pitch, surface to surface. The key thing is line - length needs to be adjusted on a game by game basis.

A good rule of thumb is to get the ball hitting the top of off stump. The length will vary depending on the pace of the pitch.
