Grips

I need to do a project for school and need to research grips. I have the Bob Woolmer book and are pretty clued up on the regular variants of grips, However I am struggle to find all the inmformation on The Don grips.

The most important feature of my project is that I need to have illustrations of the grips. Please if any of you know about this famous grip please let me know of any and all information. You can help even more by adding a photo, picture, drawing, etc.

Re: Grips

I would probably start with the following:

Getting to grips with Bradman's unique approach - Times Online

Bradman Revisited (Open Library)

Donald Bradman's batting technique - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The middle one would be your best bet but I've not found a 'free' version of it. You can get a copy from Amazon though - Bradman Revisited

Although not Bradman, this nun is kinda showing how he gripped the bat -

A picture of Bradman (well his arms and hands anyway) - http://www.slsa.sa.gov.au/bradman/scrapbooks/10/bsb10103.htm

Another angle here - http://www.oocities.com/genius376/special_reports_grippingyarrevealsdon.html

Yeah, it was part a tour years ago. I only used the picture as it gives an exaggerated illustration of how Bradman gripped the bat. The problem you have is there are plenty of photos of him batting but the majority show him mid-shot.

Using that grip she went on to score 247* in a 2 day game against the Pope Select XI ;)

If you want more I'll upload them to Mediafire so you can download 'em all...
