I was correct, Ponting won the player of the tournament. Made runs in nearly every match. Watson bowled well throughout but his first three innings yielded 24 runs and two ducks.

When watson was not performing with the bat, he was bowling extremly well.
He was economical and took wickets.
And when the real pressure was on in the semi final and the final he performed with 2 hundreds. And they were both not out.
