Pakistan 4 3 1 0 0 6 +0.760 970/200.0 818/200.0
Australia 3 2 0 0 1 5 +1.813 469/84.0 377/100.0

Canada 4 1 3 0 0 2 -2.083 582/195.3 1012/200.0
Kenya 4 0 4 0 0 0 -3.403 521/200.0 734/122.1

Group A is pretty much decided in terms of who will finish in the top four. Zimbabwe have a slight chance of making it but must win their last two games and hope Pakistan drop enough Net Run Rate (NRR) for the Zimbabweans to sneak into the quarter-finals. The only real interest left in Group A is to where each of the top four will finish once the qualifying games are over. Australia look to be in the box seat to finish first having played one game or more less than those sides above them. New Zealand are also looking pretty good as well and have surprised a few with their good performances so far and Sri Lanka have been pretty good as well coming into the tournament as one of the favourites. Pakistan have been hot and cold with the most of their wins coming over the lesser sides bar the good win against Sri Lanka.

Zimbabwe can still sneak into the top four but would need a minor miracle to make it. Canada got only their second win ever in World Cup history against Canada and Kenya sit last with no wins. The Kenyans have been very disappointing so far and have been thrashed in every game, a far cry from their semi-final appearance in the 2003 edition of the World Cup.

Group B

Code:
Teams M W L T N/R Pts NetRR For Against
India 4 3 0 1 0 7 +0.992 1109/182.3 1017/200.0
West Indies 4 3 1 0 0 6 +2.206 886/162.2 627/192.5
England 4 2 1 1 0 5 +0.054 1132/198.4 1124/199.1
South Africa 3 2 1 0 0 4 +1.754 739/142.5 513/150.0
----------------------------------------------------------------
Ireland 4 1 3 0 0 2 -0.444 945/199.1 1017/196.0
Bangladesh 3 1 2 0 0 2 -1.764 546/150.0 607/112.2
Netherlands 4 0 4 0 0 0 -2.728 716/200.0 1168/185.1

Group B is a little more interesting. If Bangladesh beat England tonight (which may happen as the game is in the balance at the moment) then Bangladesh are a chance to make the top four. India are assured of a berth and West Indies can seal one with one more win. England can assure themselves a berth by beating Bangladesh tonight.

South Africa though must win two more matches to make it. Their task will be made harder if the Tigers win tonight as they will be right on South Africa's tail and have played an equal number of games. Netherlands are out of it completely, they've been competitive at times but ordinary for the most part.
