Kenya v Bermuda, 3rd ODI, Nov 14

This is the third and final ODI of the 3-match series, which Kenya has already won 2-0. Bermuda will be looking for a consolation and to avoid the sweep.

The first 2 matches weren't terribly close, and even if Kenya win this one, it'd be nice to see Bermuda keep this last one tight, and at least a little bit suspenseful.

Oops, 18-year-old Stefan Kelly makes his ODI debut for Bermuda, and promptly concedes 11 runs in his first over.

Well, so much for the good start from Bermuda. After restricting Kenya to 7/1 after 6 overs, 18 year old Stefan Kelly and 17 year old Malachi Jones have given up 11, 9, and 9 runs in the last 3 overs.

Kenya 36/1 after 9 overs.


edit: and I should probably mention that Mukuddem and Leverock bowled the first 6 overs.

Incredible to look at the differene in abilities of some sides. You have a side like Sri Lanka destroy Bangladesh, Bangladesh annihilate Kenya, Kenya a class above Bermuda. Considering the Bermudans have just beaten Canada 3-0 I shudder to think how bad the Canadians are

Ok after that last highly mature post, a more serious one:

Tikolo and Mishra really looking to step on the gas now. Even Leverock who was so economical earlier is coming in for some stick. Great stuff from a Kenyan point of view.

unselfish play by the Kenyan tail going out swinging to try to take the total to 300. Exciting stuff

Bermuda need 306 to win, going to be very difficult to accomplish. Good to see some excellent bowling from the big man (leverock). Hoping they would have contained Tikolo more, he reached his century. Now it's time for the Bermy batsmen to step up to the plate, at least try to make this a close one.

Bermuda making a decent fist of it so far, despite 2 early wickets for Odoyo (what great form he is in!)

61/2 after 14. Varaiya came on an failed to take 2 wickets in his first over for the first time this series.
He did bowl a maiden though so keeping the pressure on.

They will really have to up the run rate and at the same time try to preserve their wickets.

Time to see some aggresive batting, at this point Bermuda has nothing to lose, they may as well try to go for the runs. Lionel Cann where are you? we certainly need you!!

Another maiden from varaiya.

5 overs for 6 runs. Great stuff. Should draw the rash shot.

Bermuda still have a chance though from here with wickets in hand.
