Don't want to give it the kiss of death, but the spinners have finished, and it looks like we'll do it!

Broad's easily the MOM. He gets both his career-best bowling figures and his highest score batting in this match. I doubt Dravid will retain the captaincy after this series. If he does, that'll tell you about the competency and the decision-making abilities of the BCCI. The one plus for India is that though they're only one match away from it, they've not lost the series yet.

I think it was probably the best ODI since the AUS vs SA stupidly high scoring game.

Broad really is one for the future, with the bat and the ball...

Bopara deserves to bat higher <s><img><s>

A great match and great batting from Broad and Bopara.

Two young players, the future of England guiding us home. Broad was superb in both innings and Bopara showed some real class to be there at the end in another tight chase. Shows that the future of ENglish cricket is in good hands...

It's really not a new story anymore with India is it? Have the opponent down on the mat and pinned and still end up losing the game. Ah well, cannot really complain as an Indian except to say that our batting was petrifyingly bad for the most part and Dravid made some appalling bowling changes during the game. England's depth in batting certainly helped them out though I think holding on to a few of our chances (or getting umpires to raise their fingers on marginal calls) would have had us the match. Oh well, one can always hope that Dravid loses the toss 3 times in a row and we win. <s><img><s>

I tuned in at 120-7. Must be good luck. <s><img><s>

We have finally found a combinataion that works in ODI's. Everything seems organised at last.

Though I think at 120/7 Australia or South Africa (or even West Indies) would have delivered the knockout punch with a bowler like Lee or Ntini.

That is a fair point. Broad was hardly made to face pace at all

I dont think you can say that though. Even though he wasnt facing people like Lee or Ntini he still had lot of pressure to play with. I bet people like Agarkar felt like Lee with all the pressure and nerves that was on him.

So how would he have felt if Lee was bowling at him? Worse, I presume?

Definitely I think he would of got out for low score. I don't think England would of won it. And a couple of his runs did come of poor fielding which gives alot of confidence for a number 9.

No, I meant he was predominately facing Powar and Chawla, not Singh like he should have. I feel sorry for RP SIngh at being dropped yesterday, he should have had more of a part to play in the 4th ODI
