Also wouldnt talk too much about averages because winning and losing is all that counts.

Interesting reading though that your avergaing 5 as specialist no.8. Must be batting you there to counter the 2nd new ball.

i had a blob in round two. round 3 i was out there when we beat socials 18 run partnership did get a run though 0*.
and last round came out needing 24, 26 run partnership and hit the winning runs! scored 10. did my job thats all that needed to be done.
im just the voice and a specialist fielder these days!

I would say Adams and Newton are the 2 best bowlers in the comp.
It will be great to see who bowls better this sat if the rain keeps away.
So far the best keeper ive seen this year is West's Campbell, doesnt let many through and is very gutsy.

The best bat was Zoran from Easts by a mile IMO but with him gone I think its clearly Parker from Glenroy. Hits the ball hard to all parts, just doesnt usually go on and score big tons.

Babo is punishing off his legs but has always struggled to score big against us if u continually probe his off stump.

back to cricket fellars just having my first look at some results for this year and noticed that the defending champs have a lack of runs in their middle to lower order.
This is from last weeks side:
Nev Taylor Av. 50 (with the bat looking solid.)

this year we have a few more handy inclusions and our bowling stocks are a bit deeper than most presumed at the start of the season.
it will be a ripper but it is dissapointing that it is played so late in the season.
hopefully smoke keeps taking all the wickets!
looking forward to round 11, good luck for the road back till then.

Batsman: I see Jontyfromsa commenting on Zoran, I never seen him make a run against us and always looked to smash everything. Parker and Taylors experience make them such good batsmen. Jolley is pretty correct and has a mix of powerhitting and cricket smarts to turn the strike. I really dont know if you need a technique to make runs in this comp. Ive seen a lot of people get away with ugly techniques i.e. Roberts (WC), Woods (MH) and Eilers (SFDS).

Fieldsman: Costello, Greenwood, Wernham and Babo. Im backing JontyfromSA to be a gun fieldsman also judging by his alias.
