    Hi Guys,
Just posted an update video of my bowling (Said what is new at the beginning, may need to pause as it goes rather quick) I have given myself some feedback in the video, but I am looking for other opinions, any help would be appreciated! Mainly concerned with my follow through which continues to be a problem and also the seam just being angled strangely.

Is it also a problem that both feet are barely touching the floor together after my bound? What I mean is at around 2:30 to 2:36 in the video!

Recommend to go on the link and not on here to be able to watch in HD.

Please let me know anything you have to say, all comments appreciated.

    Thanks,
    Tom.

Hi Tom. I was just thinking after watching your video, if maybe that follow through that you are saying to be a bit inconsistent can be fixed. I recon that once u finish your follow through (full rotation) could you get into a more of a catching position with knees bent slightly. not only will it make you ready for a return catch, but I think that it will help get that follow through better and more consistent. But still make sure that you complete that crucial follow through before getting into that catching position. Have a go and let me know if it works. Its just a thought?

If you watch a couple of Shane Warne videos you will notice that he does it or at least squares himself up after he has completed his full rotation.

Hi Tom, it's been ages since I've been on here but I've started taking my bowling a bit more seriously again and started coming back on the forum. Your bowling looks very decent indeed, lots of promise, but the one thing that stands out for me is that you have a very high arm and I think this leads to a lot of the inconsistency. For instance the pushing the ball through and down the leg side, if you grab yourself a copy of Philpott's Art Of Wrist Spin you'll see he extols the virtues of having a rounder action as a leggie and personally I've found it always works for me and really helps with finding your line. He explains it far better than I can so please seek it out! Check out some videos of MacGill he has a lovely arm position at delivery that really accentuates bowling the ball up so that it's almost impossible to bowl a drag down. Also coming around the ball more might help that seam position so it's generating more side spin, you're making life harder for yourself trying to rip it from way up by your ears.

    Hi GoldenArm,

Thanks for the kind words. I have fortunately got the book and will be making sure I read every word of it before the season arrives. I do agree with what you said about the high arm being a reason for inconsistency and you're not the only one to say it, I have just wrote a post on what I am aiming to change down the nets, which includes dropping the bowling arm. I also think the high arm is more vulnerable to opening up and draggint the ball down, and also stopping the follow through abruptly, as I feel the lower bowling arm will be more "explosive" I also agree with what you said about coming round the ball, I think the high arm affects getting an effective wrist position which doesn't allow me to get a good seam position on the ball, which means I only really get topspin with slight sidespin.
