i didnt know too much about gibson before this season.But i think hes been a pefect example along with Hick that ages doesnt matter and you'll get the rewards if you put the effort in. He is a real inspiration.

Yes, he has hit a late peak in his career definately. He averages around 20 in both forms of the game and is up there in the top five wicket takers in both too. Watching him in the FP Trophy final, he is still pretty sharp too at around 83-88mph, I can imagine he would have been 90mph in his prime, shame he suffered from the lack of line and length then.

Gibson was pretty sharp in his prime, a good bowler but the touch of the Devon Malcolms about him.

Is he proving that age is no barrier if you want it enough.

He's a gem of a player for Durham and at the moment hes looking the peach for them!

Its a shame he's hitting this peak so late on in his career. He's like a fine wine, gets better with age ;)

He's had a great season, 60 odds wickets at around the 20 mark and over 500 runs. Any county would be pleased with that return.
