Pitches

Western Australia / The Waca is the fastest pitch in Australia; the hard bouncy surface and smooth outfeild make it a pitch on, which, teams will make runs quickly. Fast bowlers will get some extra bounce when playing on this pitch. Players can also extract alot of Movement from this pitch helping them to get even more lateral and vertical movement. The pitch holds together nicely on most occasions and will make it harder for spin bowlers to turn the ball.
Overall, Western Australia should make for a fast paced game, where the batters score their runs quickly on the hard surface, but bowlers will also be very much helped by this as well, allowing for quick wickets to fall.

South Australia / Adelaide Oval is a muggy sort of wicket; it has some pace in it, but not that mutch; good bowlers will be able to extract some Movement and Turn, but not that much. The slower than average outfeild will make it a chore to score boundries for the batsmen, who will not be troubled by the ball moving much off the seam.
Overall, South Australia should provide for a really, nitty gritty type match, where the runs don't come as quick, but batters will find the bowling alot easier to get on top of.

Victoria / the MCG probably favors the bowlers, with it's average surface it will give some bounce to pace bowlers, as well as some opportunity for the batters to score boundries. The often overcast conditions over the MCG will provide alot of lateral and vertical movement making batting harder than on some other grounds. The pitch will also start to wear after a day or so giving the Spin bowlers alot of Turn, making them fairly dangerous.
Overall, Victoria will be dificult for the batters to feel comfortable with, while the seamers and spinners will no doubt have better than ordinary matches.
Pace;6 Move;9 Turn;8

New South Wales / the SCG is a slow and dusty wicket, making it hard for the batters to score boundries and a real struggle for them to keep their wicket against the spin bowlers. The conditions in New South Wales do not provide much oportunity for the bowlers to use lateral or vertical movement, which is one thing that the batters will be able to enjoy.
Overall, the New South Wales pitch will really be a sticky wicket, where each game will be a battle of wills. If the batters don't have what it takes then a spin bowler could take some real bags.
Pace;5 Move;4 Turn;11

Tasmania / Belrieve Oval has a soft, spongy surface, on which bowlers will find it dificult to extract any bounce, while batters will find it tough to reach the boundry. The often overcast conditions will help the ball to move this way and that through the air, making it dificult for the batters to get their eye in, while the pitch will start to Turn late on in the 3rd and 4th days.
Overall, Tasmania is yet another tough place to bat. Bowlers will find that with the exceptional Movement that they can exctract from the pitch will help them make the wickets tumble.
Pace;5 Move;10 Turn;6

Queensland / the Gabba is a good pitch that will make for an interesting battle between batter and bowler. On one hand, the hard surface will allow the batters to score runs freely, but it will also assist the faster bowlers to get some extra bounce. The muggy conditions in Queesland will make for some lateral and vertical movment of the ball. The pitch will not Turn much at all, as it is fairly well flattened down, and will not allow for the pitch to wear and "scruf" up.
Overall, Queensland will be a pitch on, which the runs flow freely, and the wickets tumble accordingly.
Pace;8 Move;8 Turn;3

Australian Capital Territory / ACT is a hard dry pitch, where the runs will flow freely. The movement of the ball is almost impossible, leaving seam bowlers to rely on the bounce alone. The dryness of the pitch will leave it to "scruff" and "dust" up, allowing for the spin bowlers to Turn the ball almost as much as they could want.
Overall, the ACT is a pitch on which the batters will be able to make a score, but they will find it tough going against the spin bowlers.
