Saca Premier League

Excellent initiative from SACA to involve teams from both Northern Territory and Papua New Guinea. Will definitely be keeping an eye on this as it unfolds.

The rounds in Darwin were some what of a success, crowds weren't great but the cricket was of a good standard. Mavericks and Edge teams to beat and meet each other in the first round of the two dayers. Thats it for PNG but they maybe involved in the T20 comp in December which hasn't been scheduled yet. Decks might have a bit in it this weekend given the conditions in SA this week.

NT Folk wouldn't be used to being charged an entry fee to watch that level of cricket maybe?

No payment required for the Premier League it was only the high profile clashes (SACA and Scorchers) that required an entry fee and that only applied to 18+. NT Cricket also offered to buy a round (carton of middies and I think it was minimum 10 people) for clubs if they came to a Premier League match of which only University took up the offer.

Mavericks remain unbeaten in run feast against Grit, NT go down to bottom of table Souther Force, Troy Ryan took 6 for but received his third strike for running on the pitch when Force were 9 for 150 odd chasing 215. Last wicket pair put on 100+ to win the match. There are OD matches for the Adelaide teams next Sunday and the next round of two day matches is not until the 7th December.
