Re: Super Eights - West Indies vs Sri Lanka

Gayle, Bravo, and now Lara are all out

West Indies 42-3 after 10.1, and looking to be headed for yet another loss!

no chance of any miracle comebacks today

It's sad that a stadium-record crowd of just over 12,000 saw their locals get blown out

Windies fans are generally a very masochistic lot.

I think it's funny that Lara was stumped off of Vaas. That's the first time I've heard of a batsman being stumped off a seam bowler. Of course, Vaas is just a medium-pacer these days.

Glenn McGrath has an international stumping to his name. Can't remember where it was, but he's got one.

Sri Lanka were just too good, simple as that.

Although where will Sri Lanka be when Jayasuriya hangs up his boots and bat? He is still a damn good player.

They just lost too many wickets too early. You can't beat a 300+ run total by scraping together singles. The fielders were just on top of them constantly.

I looked it up.

Craig McMillan st Gilchrist b Mcgrath 37, in the first ODI versus New Zealand at Wellington in 2004/2005.
