Caddick can be picked for NZ, it won't happen, but it did I would have no real complaints, he was basically in the test set up at the Oval against India, so there..
Ramprakash shouldn't be picked, he about 100 innings, a couple of hundreds, over a decade in the set up, he didn't make the most of it.
England didn't look too sharp in the tour match against Sri Lanka Cricket Board President's XI. The batsmen didn't seem that troubled, but the bowlers, particularly the spinners, were pretty much carted around by the Sri Lankans. That's a bad sign when you're touring in Sri Lanka.
I think England's batting is strong enough to get them through. Of course, it all depends on how well Murali bowls and if the English can dislodge Sanga and Mahela.
I don't know, they fell for just 134 in the latest tour match. Hoggard managed to keep them afloat with his five wickets, but it looks like this might be a difficult tour for England.
Most teams don't play tour matches too well. It may have to do with ground conditions, motivation and a bunch of other factors (for example, you don't want to injure yourself in a tour match--though it seems that is not part of the plan for English fast bowlers <s><img><s>).
I think Cook, Vaughan and KP are going to score pretty heavily in this tour. The biggest factor, of course, will be Murali. And his effectiveness should depend on how useful Malinga is, early on.
Wow, Hoggard seems to be in the form of his life. I didn't expect this kind of a collapse from the Sri Lankan batsman. I bet a significant sum on them winning in PC. <s><img><s>
I wish I had placed all 80,000 of my vcash on England winning. Bowled 'em out for 188 and are 49-1 for one. Hopefully we can push on tommorow and get a score of 300+.

Hmm yeah, I thought including both Hoggard AND Sidebottom was wrong because they were both swingers but instead they have played very well. I hope that England can build onto a big first innings lead and possibly win by a innings but It was be easy, have you seen Murali's spin <s><img><s> <s><img><s>.
If only this test match was going to go to day 5 - then even Kevin Pieterson could do a Shane Warne 'Ball of the Century'!
Anyway, I'm going to bed soon so I can listen/watch tomorrows action!
With Muralitharan finally striking form, the match is definitely even now. He could have surpassed Warne today without the rain, but he probably wouldn't mind waiting one more day.
England's batsmen looked solid in the last test. Unfortunately, looking at the forecast for the next few days, it seems like the weather will intervene again during the last test.
A 1-0 defeat to Sri Lanka in Sri Lanka isn't too bad.
