Re: Victorian Premier Cricket 09/10

Seems like clubs are being very aggressive with changing their coaching structures for next season.

I've already heard that Footscray, Dandenong, North Melbourne, Camberwell, Essendon, Casey and Prahran have already advertised for new coaches. That's almost half the comp and the season isn't even over!

Re: Victorian Premier Cricket 09/10

Footscray have had enough of Sandri, and it seems as though MO'S and Carl are a package deal. Hillas has left because he has work in Sydney later in 2010, whilst the Camberwell arrangement was always going to be temporary, after the resignation of Maddocks.

Casey and Prahran would be the two surprises appearances. There is talk of the Melbourne and Geelong gigs being up for grabs as well.

i'm in belief 2 clubs have actually signed coaches already, just putting the ads out there for the sake of it. wont say which ones :)
porter left north melb?

Re: Victorian Premier Cricket 09/10

Wouldn't be surprised to see Adrian Jones end up coaching St Kilda next year. Possibly with Gerard Denton and John Hastings added to the side.

Ridgway looking to have a "Director of Cricket" type role at Casey. Don't know anything about Porter.

A number of district clubs have raised the issue of the coaching merry-go-round with those high in CV, trying to organise some sort of subsidy set aside for the coaches of District Cricket, due to the majority of clubs not being able to renumerate to the true worth of the time involved.

Re: Victorian Premier Cricket 09/10

Looks like doggies will lose a few but will probably get those few players who walk out on the club throughout the season back, it will be interesting to see how they are recieved back into the club. They are all 2nds and 3rd IX players but will need them for depth... Go the sainters number 19 is ours!!

Would be surprised if Sandri left, from the stats it appears he had a decent season (one of the very few Doggies who did). With the lack of quality spinners around the place I'd be surprised if Footscray let him go. Why would they have 'had enough of him'?

Re: Victorian Premier Cricket 09/10

Any more rumours on player or coach movements for 10/11?
A large amount of head coaching positions up for grabs

Re: Victorian Premier Cricket 09/10

Clearance page already up for 2010/11 with Peter Manser from North Melbourne being the only player so far changing clubs to Carlton. Huge loss for Nth Melb as he was Club champion the previous two season. Where does this leave the club now with Hillas, Manser and possibly Porter all gone?

Re: Victorian Premier Cricket 09/10

frankston have signed former premiership keeper from dandenong ricky damiano who played at caulfield last year, also very close on picking up state squad member
