I don't think anyone is being lazy with regards to juniors, clubs are for the most part doing all they really can and I never said my club is disadvantaged and I actually don't think that is the case here. I also wasn't being funny, I was stating facts, but at least in the end I could lose...
Spoken like a typical know nothing cricketer. For various reasons, there will always be clubs with big junior programs and clubs with small junior programs. Honestly if you don't get why this will disadvantage clubs, then I can't be stuffed wasting bits explaining it to you cos you'll never...
I gotta agree with you here PA, this is a cure to a problem that does not exist. Clubs that don't have a huge juniors base are now and into the future put at a huge disadvantage in recruitment.
Just reading some comments from those in Adelaide forced into PlayHQ, this doesn't sound good at all. Not a single positive comment came from it. It seems the system is both unreliable and unnecessarily convoluted. If that's the case, god knows how we are going to go with live scoring.
Don't disgree, although I would add, to speed the games up, let the lower grades bowl 5 from an end before swapping ends. 4 piece in lower grades will never get up as clubs will complain about the cost.

I've heard that it is. The higher level of cricket you play, the more points you attract. Although I have no idea of the structure, how many points a player attracts or the cap for a team. It seems like it could be a good thing, but if implemented poorly it could be next to useless. Really need...
Juniors aren't just for success on the ground, there is the social aspect to clubs as well. More juniors, more potential teams, more parents around, more money spent at the club, potentially more grants or government cash for facilities etc because you are an upstanding community organisation...
They do it all the time. Dropped 4 or 5 blokes for a final against us one year, guys who had played pretty much all year only to get dropped for the finals then had to watch on. Is grubby.
Stoinis and Burns played in the Big Bash with covid the other night, they just stayed away from the main group. Several women played in their Big Bash with covid as well.
How does the DVCA justify fining a club for doing exactly what professional clubs are doing in Australia at the moment?
