    Wrist Spin Bowling (part Five)

I ordered the Wilkins book and 2 of the Grimmett books and manage to find a PDF copy of Taking wickets by Grimmett, its a short book read it today, very interesting but not as informative as the art of wrist spin bowling by Philpot, that is a must read for any spinner. If you want to find the...

    Wrist Spin Bowling (part Five)

Please elaborate, I can't bowl a pure backspinner, even with the flipper there is still some side spin.

    Wrist Spin Bowling (part Five)

Does backspin change the direction of the drift on a delivery?

    Wrist Spin Bowling (part Five)

Hardest part is getting to used to the execution of the finger snap, then its length and length is connected to release position, release position is later then your regular deliveries and thats where you will run into longterm inaccuracy. Pace is not a problem ball comes out faster due to the...

    Wrist Spin Bowling (part Five)

Yeah, so I was bowling it with the wrong wrist position, thats why mine was moving into the RHB. So basically the orthodox Flipper (for discussion purposes the Warne flipper is orthodox to me) if bowled with the thumb facing the Batsman (back of the hand towards the bowlers face, thumb...

    Wrist Spin Bowling (part Five)

@SomeblokecalledDave. Cheers mate that was very helpful. I think the Flipper-Top spinner will take a lot of work to be accurate with. Im just going to focus on the back spinner. Even tho my best delivery atm is the Philpot big legbreak (backspinner) similar to the Warne “Slider”(). However...

    Wrist Spin Bowling (part Five)

@someblokecalleddave would love your comments on these mate. So I spent a couple hours at work today training for the flipper. Question 1, the flipper is just a back spinner snapped out of the fingers? Question 2 if the flipper is snapped out of the front of the hand it will spin forward, is...

    Wrist Spin Bowling (part Five)

Nice, our season is ending. Kudos to you for still developing your bowling. I tried the flipper again in my last training session with doc8176 but very quickly put it away, requires a lot of patience and I still don’t think this will be effective against good batsmen.

    Wrist Spin Bowling (part Five)

I can do the knee drive and you can see the difference between the amount spin but I always thought that was a fast bowler thing and a spinner should kick his leg around like warne and macgill in one of his videos he was saying imagine a bucket, kick your leg up and over the bucket (from a side...

Nice man keep it up, it was a shit group today, more chances for stumpings at better ground with our main keeper.

    Wrist Spin Bowling (part Five)

I noticed one somewhere whether in the nets pre game or during the game where I was thinking if you just bowled a stock leggy for the fun of it haha it all makes sense now

    Wrist Spin Bowling (part Five)

Yeah I think its because I bowl flat and push it through with pace. I also use the fake slider, it tends to stay low. I forgot to talk spin with you after the game, next time.
