i think that its interesting that the abuse is continued on this board...shame really...all i want to do is play cricket and have a beer after the game without the opposition swearing and abusing umpires and others in front of 5 year old children...it seems that that isnt on the agenda for some...
I am happy to say that I played int eh match, witnessed and heard the racism and homophobic comments. But as I said before, lets just get over it and play cricket (which obviously we cant do this week as we have no-one to play against)
its funny...i dont remember 1 bit of abuse being addressed to the GP batsmen (who were quite happy to sledge our bowlers), as opposed to the torrent of homophobic and racist abuse that the GP fielders and batsmen that were out dished out.

there was no personal abuse directed at any batsman but the GP bats were very keen (led by their captain) to verbally abuse the BSU bowlers whilst the batsmen that were out racially abused some of our team whilst also laughing at the umpire when he was hit by the ball...but that is by the by -...
disappointed by GPCC - chucking the toys out the pram and walking off and forfeiting the game after an immense amount of personal abuse at the opposition and the umpires...pretty poor spineless effort really. I thought that they would have had more guts than spitting the dummy. looking forward...

Just wanted to say thanks to the Centrals 1s players for yesterdays game - it was played in the true spirit of cricket - hard but fair.
Its a shame that the umpire who threatened to give one of our players out handled ball doesnt know...

yup - except practice matches have an element of competition rather than letting the lower ranked side win to give them the points as appears to be happening...

yeah funny how melton south 2's have suddenly become a decent side and able to bowl out their 1st team, whist melton 1s open the bowling with someone who has played all their games but only bowled 4 overs before the weekend...i dont...
