actually you have presented an interesting viewpoint here about bangladesh being given test status too early. It reminds me of the womens cricket scene where Hong Kong has been denied the chance to play level with Bangladeshi women after winning ACC tournament twice in a row, although the 20/20...
I am pretty sue if it has been bowled near or on my toes I would hit it on a full...
but if it doesn't ... my experience tells me that it is harder to play a shot from an offie after it has bounced because the degree or bounce and the turn can be unpredictable according to ground conditions and...
Yes sometimes I think - the bowlers cant be serious to just keep bowling at my pads... the sweep shot comes in handy only if the bowler bowls short of length and at medium pace.
so I have to figure out another shot... but with the good length from a right handed bowler, I find the attempted...
I would say Ireland and Afghanistan.
Afgahnistan took silver from Asian games in 2010 beating Pakistan (although clearly pakistan didn't field their strongest team) in Semi final and losing to Bangladesh in the final. Apparently some of the Afghan players have played with MCC before so although...
I have the same issue- all the different coaches I have gone through keeps saying that I am forcing through and for the past 2 years.
One said that I had a chucking motion but it wasn't until a South African coach who came along and told me that the 'chucking motion' was in fact an illusion...
maybe a change in diet would help? Even if you can pull through the trianing session with a dose of caffeine it wont work when you are in a game situation where you will be batting for a 2hrs+
I do find this sport SO time consuming... a game lasts a whole day for 50 overs and in addition a...
asics are the best all time... I use Kayano 17 for training and fitness as well.
In games I prefer the Asics Gel strike rate... they are the closest into providing comfort of trainers whilst still incorproating the spikes in it... the strike rate shoe concept is idenital to the spikes a 100m...
I am just thinking... if an offie bowls to your middle and turns away from you... it surely should be played differently than when the offie is bowled towards your off stump and turning out to the invisible 4th stump?
i do think sliding helps you cover more ground esp when you are saving a 4 as the body surface area is of course way larger than if you try tn get to where the ball is - kneel down with a long barrier and put your palms there.
maybe look for someone with fast twitch muscles? Perhaps go down to the 100m track and see who is training there and get them to switch to cricket instead?:D
As a left handed batsmen I have been struggling for the past 2-3 years having a satisfying innings.
firstly a couple of things which irritate me are:
1) most bowlers are right handed and are not used to bowling to left handers so in practice / nets I rarely hae a chanace to practise the...
