If premier cricket can play t20 for points and the comp promotes sides to submit t20 teams in the regional champs then you can play for points.
Furthermore, if you played two t20 games in December on one Saturday starting at 11am and 4pm around summer solstice you could knock out the Sunday...
The NMCA won't exist in 10 years.
How can a comp run at a financial loss?
How can a comp award mediocre clubs with promotion because of how many teams and juniors they have even though their best team isn't up to a certain standard?
Teams with one team up to standard can't stay in the top 3...
I find it amusing that some people think that a club would want to go down to D grade from A grade.
Clubs are struggling and a club would never go down a grade to win a flag.
I suspect those of that opinion are probably playing in the lower grades.
According to my sources, Brad Wright from HT has joined him... It's hard to turn down big offers and from what I've heard the money was very, very generous.
Unfortunately that's the way of local sport these days.
It's time for the NMCA to become a one day and T20 comp and market itself as such. It will attract players from all over the place!
At the moment clubs and the competition at large is dying.
It's real. Take note.
I would never say that the fundraiser held wasn't worthy or in any way not warranted; everyone would donate or play over and over again for the cause.
What is disappointing is the way you blokes talk to opposition players on the ground and your supporters speak to other supporters... the same...
You certain clubs are a disgrace, but they're trying their best with what they've got...
The biggest disgrace in the comp is Heidelberg West! They are a bunch of low life pigs who aren't worthy of playing in the one day comp let alone Jika Shield.
The comp needs to look at the way that club...
Yep agreed flick... he's probably not winning it anyway but to assert that umpires are rigging the jika medal is farcical and disrespectful to the umpire and the player.
My point is that given the player in question, it's clear that he's in form and deserves those votes...
Furthermore the umpire in question has only umpired Lalor twice; one where the player being discussed top scored. So it's just an opinion and one which is probably shared by others around...
Well I don't think you have to be Einstein to realise that if a player made fives 50's in a row and is leading the competition in runs, he's going to get votes.
It's probably not that reliant on the umpire...
They are definitely the best team, they have the most depth, particularly in their bowling and they have a great batting line up as well, but anyone is beatable on the day.
For a team that's 5th they get a fair bit of discussion going.
There's so many pea hearts on this forum, people who just bash other teams and clubs for no reason other than jealousy and spite.
Every club has internal issues and whoever says otherwise is full of it.
Everyone writes them off...
Well, there were some very interesting results last round. In particular NBR batting first and posting 119 from their 40 overs with 4 wickets in hand.
I'm a huge fan of their batting discipline and the way they go about posting a score in 80 over matches but that's ridiculous in my opinion...
