If Saturday is heated out or abandoned what happens to the game on Australia Day?
What happens is it looks like a masterstroke for the team that wins it.

Just got told the dvca have cancelled all games due to heatout & rescheduled to next Tuesdayare the t20s still on today given that it going to be 40 odd degrees , thinking of wandering down to Epping later today, Epping versus Riverside should be a good game
I have heard this is true, meaning 4 years away from both their home grounds. And to rub salt into the wounds, no one goes to banyule flats to watch either coz its a shit hole. Would be costing them $$$ in lost revenue, as well as the junior football club , and attracting new players would be virtually impossible.Any truth to rumour that despite Macleod pavilion ready for occupancy, they may be off ground for another year due to railway crossing works and ground being used as staging point for construction?
No simple solutions. With Burkitt out of action we played a home game at Donath.I have heard this is true, meaning 4 years away from both their home grounds. Interesting to see if construction workers get first access to the new pavilion for that year, and if so, what condition it gets handed over to the sporting clubs who have invested some of their own money into the project as well.....
I think its more about not playing at Macleod Park for 4 years. It would cripple most clubs. No simple solutions. With Burkitt out of action we played a home game at Donath.
Shelley Park is in pristine condition. Macleod should play there.
There is one oval a Chelsworth Park not being used.
We have heard it maybe closer to 2 years allowing for remediation. Would absolutely suck.I think its more about not playing at Macleod Park for 4 years. It would cripple most clubs.
100%. Its a lovely ground to watch cricket from, the new 2nd level viewing deck /bar will make it attractive for all i reckon. Just have to wait until 2027/28 before they get a chance to use it.We have heard it maybe closer to 2 years allowing for remediation. Would absolutely suck.

"The boys were sitting around in the heat like dummies" ?, did they have to report to the ground, what a shambles, the mate i was going to go with to watch Epping, said he got told at 3o'clock that the games had been called off, must ask him how he found out, who called it offWhat a shambles…..most clubs aren’t interested in this 2 bob competition. Should have been called off on the day.
Heat rule was ignored. Can Someone shed some light on why it wasn’t called off at 10am???
On the Monday clubs were given the choice to play under the heat policy or reschedule within a week (today being the latest). If clubs had their players sitting around in the heat like dummies then it is the administrators of those clubs who are the dummies"The boys were sitting around in the heat like dummies" ?, did they have to report to the ground, what a shambles, the mate i was going to go with to watch Epping, said he got told at 3o'clock that the games had been called off, must ask him how he found out, who called it off
The boys I spoke to from 2 separate clubs were told on the day by dvca to report to ground & work in with the heat rule.On the Monday clubs were given the choice to play under the heat policy or reschedule within a week (today being the latest).
