Barclay Shield 2025/26

Rosebank, Bundoora, Rosanna, NE big winners from the heat out
Also whoever wins Monday huge winners

Epping, Riverside, Macleod, DC stiff
Whoever loses Monday
Huge loses from weekend

are the t20s still on today given that it going to be 40 odd degrees , thinking of wandering down to Epping later today, Epping versus Riverside should be a good game

Any truth to rumour that despite Macleod pavilion ready for occupancy, they may be off ground for another year due to railway crossing works and ground being used as staging point for construction?

I have heard this is true, meaning 4 years away from both their home grounds. And to rub salt into the wounds, no one goes to banyule flats to watch either coz its a shit hole. Would be costing them $$$ in lost revenue, as well as the junior football club , and attracting new players would be virtually impossible.
Interesting to see if construction workers get first access to the new pavilion for that year, and if so, what condition it gets handed over to the sporting clubs who have invested some of their own money into the project as well.....

No simple solutions. With Burkitt out of action we played a home game at Donath.

Shelley Park is in pristine condition. Macleod should play there.

There is one oval a Chelsworth Park not being used.

Just got told the dvca have cancelled all games due to heatout & rescheduled to next Tuesday
can anyone shed some light on whats happening with the t20's games, there has been nothing offical on the dvca webpage or facebook site, playhq say abandoned but got told this morning that last tuesday games will be played next tuesday

What a shambles…..most clubs aren’t interested in this 2 bob competition. The boys were sitting around in the heat waiting around like dummies.
Should have been called off on the day.
Heat rule was ignored. Can Someone shed some light on why it wasn’t called off at 10am???

"The boys were sitting around in the heat like dummies" ?, did they have to report to the ground, what a shambles, the mate i was going to go with to watch Epping, said he got told at 3o'clock that the games had been called off, must ask him how he found out, who called it off

On the Monday clubs were given the choice to play under the heat policy or reschedule within a week (today being the latest). If clubs had their players sitting around in the heat like dummies then it is the administrators of those clubs who are the dummies

The boys I spoke to from 2 separate clubs were told on the day by dvca to report to ground & work in with the heat rule.
Can someone tell us what the go is here.
The heat rule had already been met by start time.
