Re: Ford Ranger Cup Thread 2009/2010
Good point Sober Symonds!
Not sure how old Evan Gulbis is from Carlton but he has scored plenty in Grade Cricket. Tom Stray is also having another good season.
Fact is Mash is 28 and has had ample oppurtunities. I would prefer to see Hill or Finch...
Re: West Indies in Australia
David Warner has only been on the scene a short period of time and NSW 1st Class team is quite good (on paper) so there could be two potential issues with not breaking into the side. He is better suited to one-day and T20 cricket the same way Andrew Symonds was when...
Re: West Indies in Australia
I'm with you Breeno, sorry Caesar. I think David Warner is amazing. I didn't get a chance to watch his innings last night but did just watch it on youtube then. It was as pure as hitting as you're ever going to witness. People who don't watch cricket now know...
Re: Ford Ranger Cup Thread 2009/2010
I think they will take 150 from here, 6/26 now 7/46 and still in a world of hurt.
Sounds as though the ball is swinging a considerable way.
Re: GCA Divison 1 Previews and Predictions
How'd are everyone's predictions from the start of the season looking heading into the final round?
Ladder is:
Grovedale
West
East Belmont
St Joeys
Lara
North Geelong
South Barwon
Most Runs: Fanning 627 (leads by 100+ over Bambury)...
Re: West Indies in Australia
Yeah I copped that , this was obviously his one-in-twenty-five performances.
Back to the bleachers for Hopes fans for another couple of series.
Re: West Indies in Australia
Yeah I do.
Did a decent enough job tonight with the bat, although with 252 on the board and 8 overs to go it wasn't exactly nerve-racking stuff.
Good to see he went at 6+ an over in the chase too  and that his wicket was a peach of a delivery...
Re: West Indies in Australia
Hodge, Klinger, Bailey, Robinson, Jaques, Carseldine, Birt, St Smith, Da Hussey, Christian, Wade, Rogers, Warner, Hughes, Finch > Voges.
I can't believe we have him and Hopes in the same side, a sad day for Australian cricket.
Re: West Indies in Australia
Boris you're getting your dreams mixed up with reality.
On another note and on topic, anyone else think Australia should just play against South Africa, India & England (in England)?
At the moment the rubbish that the other nations are producing is turning me...
Re: West Indies in Australia
I would like to know when he has chased down the last 15 runs in an over actually happened? I checked cricinfo but couldn't find anything
Also, I noted that he has never made a 50 opening but eddie beat me to the post. 48 being his top score.
If...
Re: West Indies in Australia
NOTE: wrong forum I know.
Here you go Boris on and on again about how much cricket you watch (although sometimes you comment without watching much cricket Eg: Siddle in South Africa), but I think your XXXX Hat is to tight here and is clouding your judgement...
Re: West Indies in Australia
My scathing attack was a little harsh in hindsight, but I do stand by my point made.
There are a number of bowlers around who could bowl 10 overs in the middle of an innings for similar if not better results and a promotion of Johnson/Hauritz up the order to...
Re: West Indies in Australia
Hopes isn't quality, he is 31 and it is time to move on.
He hasn't done anything of note of late or his whole career for that matter, somehow along the way he has cemented his spot with some seriously mediocre performances.
He always seems to bowl in the...
