Re: Geelong Cricket Chat 09/10
I did read that AB1, was quite humorous.
For the record, I think I have bowled a total of 10 balls at training this season. Just got the yips.

Re: Kookaburra Balls in the GCA
Despite being told otherwise I still highly doubt that these are the balls VCA and Test Level use, surely Kookaburra would have another ball which is a step above the one we are currently using?
If so, apart from costing, why can't we use them?
Re: Country Week 2008/2009
I have heard the Waurn Ponds cricketers were good at catching fish, none biting here though. Salts isn't in the squad (but for the record has won a couple of Div 2 Thomas Jeweller Cricketer of the Year - just ask him he loves his watches). Port would score too slow...
Re: Country Week 2008/2009
Lets not play the name game, the point of my argument is that his figures are as good, if not better then some other players selected.
He is quite a handy bowler who has had no outside coaching from any development programs or hasn't been in any Barwon squads as...

Re: Country Week 2008/2009
I am a huge Alrdo fan. 30 wickets (mostly top order mind you) at 12 speaks for itself. Deserves a training gig IMO.
Before anyone gets on here and goes bananas: for the record, he wouldn't make the final team and I could name 4 blokes in there who I would have...
Re: Geelong Cricket Chat 09/10
Inglis struggled with the spinners up to the stumps (hasn't kept to spin for 3 years) but his glovework to the quicks was second to none, took some great catches off his shoe laces. Having played with Strods I can comfortably say they are on a par keeping wise...

Re: Ford Ranger Cup Thread 2009/2010
Played in the same club cricket league as I did in the UK in 2008. Made 140* in a T20 match. Bowls pretty sharp too. Made 5 100s at the halfway mark of the season then went home to do pre-season Bulls training in NZ.
Was only a matter of time before he...
Re: GCA Division 3 Previews and Predictions
Incorrect Bourke, we were happy for that batsmen to occupy the crease. It was by far the most individualist innings I have seen in my short time on a cricket field.
90 runs needed with 7 wickets in hand with 30 overs to go. Was then left up to...
Re: GCA Division 3 Previews and Predictions
Maybe they should make it all a one-day 50/50 competition?
Or maybe they should make the whole GCA a one-day 50/50 competition?
I spent 71 overs on the weeekend watching one bloke make 43 runs, was by far the biggest turn-off to cricket I have...
Re: GCA Division 3 Previews and Predictions
It clearly stated that the Anakie team on the weekend had ten batsmen! For someone who doesn't like the addy you certainly spend a lot of time reading it!
Re: Geelong Cricket Chat 09/10
Although only briefly looking I couldn't see any 50 over a side Division 2 4th XI games anywhere on my cricket last season. No one it seems was playing by the rules
