Re: Harder to bowl left handed then right ??
I think it is harder to be a left handed bowler than a right handed bowler because you have to perpetually angle the ball across the right hander rather than more naturally bowling it in a straight line.
Re: Rhythm
Perhaps not rhythm, but it would likely help with pace and accuracy*.
*Assuming that you can turn the new load up into a natural motion in your action rather than it having to be forced everytime.
Re: Fast bowling fitness
I can't do chin ups without a slight brisk walk toward the bar, after which I can do about 3 - is the walk up okay or should I really try to do it from a static position. After I do some chin ups, I usually get some burning in the latissmus dorsi for about a week or two...

U16 Fixture
I had an U16 game on Friday, 24 overs per side. We put 161 past the opponents and I opened the bowling to begin their reply. I bowled with okay pace (still nowhere near what I want to be, but I assume that only physical training in the winter will get me...
Re: Young boy bowling short
Best not overload an 11 year old with too much technique though - best to help him sculpt out the natural lengths with his natural action.
Re: Several Fast Bowling Questions
Got two new videos up on youtube. Two different views attempting to use a more biomechanically efficient load up whilst keeping my back leg on the floor for a better hip drive. Bit of classic British comedy in there too if you look hard enough ;)

Height is a contributing factor, but I believe that there is more to it than that. Malcolm Marshall was just 5ft 10 (if I recall correctly) and he had the keeper miles back.
Re: Young boy bowling short
There is no easy way for an 11 year old to bowl full so just emphasise the effort that the bowler must do to power the ball forward rather than into the pitch. It is all about helping him realise how to bowl full and what it feels like rather than emphasising that...
Carry
Hi,
What do you think causes carry in fast bowlers. It evidently does not bare a direct correlation to pace as Glenn Mcgrath could get the ball to hit the gloves at chest height whereas Luke Wright is barely getting it to go through to the keeper, although timing about the same on the...
